MFP201- I aim for 2100 cals a day and eat back about 1/4 of my excersise calories. My macros are set at 45% protein 30% fat and 25% carbs. I used the IIFYM method to determine my needs.

MFP thinks that if i golf for 4 hours (riding in a golf cart) I burn 1200+ calories. I take every estimate with a grain of salt and if i create my own workout and shoot for a very low number and dont even think about eating it all back. I agree that the overestimating is counter productive to the folks who think cleaning…

5.2.14 - 11.3 @ 14.6 5.4.14 - 15.9 @ 13.8 (stupid traffic lights) 5.9.14 - 4.73 @ 16.8 I ride a hybrid style bike (Giant Escape 3) that I got as a gift. Its been a great starter bike as I get more into road cycling but has wider 700x32 tires on it. I now ride with two friends with full road bikes and I can still hang but…

Im down 32lbs and track/post daily. I am actively doing 30DS and on level 3. I follow IIFYM and TDEE as much as i can. I dont want to cut out things i love to eat im just learning to eat it in moderation and stay within my limits.

F the scale. Use it once a week at most. True progress will show in measurements first and not the scale.

Ill sum up IIFYM from what i understand. Its flexible dieting made to help you withstand dieting for a longer period of time. Not drastically cutting out everything under the sun you know and love. Eat clean/healthy and also eat things you love just under the restrictions of meeting your macros and caloric goals. If im…

Bicycle is the best way to go for low impact and high intensity. Ride up some inclines or into some wind and tell me its not a hell of a workout. Ive logged 150+ miles in the last 3 months and its helped me dramatically. legs toned up and cardio/breathing has vastly improved. Im also down 28lbs so that helps too : ) if you…

Id recommend an HRM as well to really determine your calorie burn numbers.

I have the same problem and always blame my crappy asthma lungs. I rarely ever breathe through my nose because thats just how I have lived my life. I just keep at it and see little improvements as I keep at it.

I have had some similar responses to high intensity training. Overall after pushing through these workouts I fixed it by hydrating myself better and making sure I was not training on an empty stomach. A few ritz crackers with peanut butter on them went a long way for me in this situation

Starting level 2 day 1 today. The last two workouts for level 1 really wore me down. I think i was getting deeper into my lunges than normal which is good but causing some soreness in my knees. All good though ready to rock!

congrats!!! I never ran EVER until this last year or so. Its so hard on my knees but now that im losing weight im making an effort to run more. I did my first 5K last year but it was more of a zombie mud run with obstacles and stuff. It took me just about 40 mins to complete. Probably the same amount of time it would have…

I cycle to the gym and back. I have a hybrid road/mtn bike that has 700x18 wheels so its more effecient than a mtn bike but not as effecient as a road bike. Im working my way up to a road bike. I use mapmyride to track all my rides. Ive done 200 miles in the last year compared to 0 in the last 10 years : )
