  • Everyone is different. My husband is the same as you, he can't eat before a workout or he gets "sick". I'm the total opposite, I have to eat something small or else the lack of food makes me nauseous. :-)
  • I think it looks pretty good. :-) Are you eating before your workout? It could just be that you need to fuel up before hitting the gym. :-) Great job.
  • If you step back and look at your situation, it's going to overhwelm you. One thing at a time. Don't let your physical limitations get you down. Take this time to focus on your diet instead. Also, I carry a lot of my weight in my belly too. There's a book out called "Wheat Belly" and I haven't actually read the book but I…
  • Tips? Hmmm....I think my best advice would be to stay realistic about the process. You're gonna have bad days. You'll probably have about 2 weeks where your weight loss efforts seem to be sabotaged by your monthly cycle due to the cravings, the constant hunger and the fatigue. Don't give up. Be kind to yourself.…
  • I am also a mother of two, ages 3 & 4. Feel free to add me. I've finally lost all my excess pregnancy weight and now I'm working on the college weight/early years of marriage weight. [img][/img] me by skyler8937, on Flickr

  • I'm 5'10" and I'm still in progress but these photos show about a 40 pound loss. [img][/img] me by skyler8937, on Flickr
  • I had my MFP settings to lose 1.5 pounds per week and they had me at 1500 calories. I wasn't losing anything and so I adjusted my settings to losing 1 pound per week and MFP upped me to 1750 calories. The weight is melting away like crazy. :-)
  • You can totally tell a difference, especially in your stomach! It looks much more defined! Great job!! :-)
  • Broox - It's taken me 2 years to take it off. I'm currently at my pre-pregnancy weight and now just have to shed the college weight/first years of marriage weight. I remember someone saying, in regards to pregnancy weight, that it took 9 months to put it on so don't expect it to just come off. And, that's been pretty true…
  • [img][/img] 421845_10100664345054214_426600341_n by skyler8937, on Flickr I am 5'10" and was between 225-230 here & size 16.
  • And if I could just add... If you are a sugar addict, it will take some time to detox your body from that. When you totally cut out the sugary snacks like the M&Ms and the cookies, your body will go into some serious withdrawel for at least a week. You'll have mood swings and your energy levels will fluctuate but hang in…
  • I was stuck at 220 for like two weeks, I had my settings to lose 1.5 pounds a week. MFP told me to consume 1,500 calories a day and so I was. And I was feeling extremely satisfied, I wasn't feeling hungry or deprived so I stuck to my 1,500. And each day the scale stayed the same, I would get more and more frustrated. Then…
  • I am not a diabetic so I can't really comment as far as that goes.... But, I can tell you that it's SO important to PLAN, PLAN, PLAN. If you're going away on business and you know you'll be eating out often, do your research. Make a list of things that you consider acceptable to eat at a restaurant that won't hinder your…
  • can you still play this game if happily married!?
  • Add me too if ya'd like!
  • Congratulations! You look fantastic! :-)
  • Yeah, I can typically count on plateauing around my cycle. In fact, I may even gain a few pounds but once my cycle is over, I know I'll see the scale budge. So, hang in there!! And definitely look for patterns --- I think women's body's tend to be be "cyclic". :-)
  • Well, you're not alone. I can guarantee that a week before my cycle starts I am going to be hungry all day, every day. Yesterday I went over my calories by 600 (partly because it was my dad's birthday and we took him out to dinner) but also because I KNEW I was going to feel hungrier than usual so I packed more in my…
  • I am also 5'10" and I have seen the best results with walking and Zumba. I HATE running and my chiropractor actually told me to stay away from it since it's not a passion of mine. He says the hard pounding is bad for my back & knees. Which was fine by me because I don't enjoy it at all. I think Zumba & walking has worked…
