+1 for lifestyle change. (Can we still do this in the new "improved" forums?)

This. 100%.

Yep. That's just wrong on so many levels. And yet I cannot stop laughing.

For the ever-loving win!

Baseball against the wall works nicely for spot aches in my back. So once your done checking the hardness of your new friend, make sure to pair it with a couple of sturdy balls.

I used to measure the time by how many screens of Angry Birds I could clear. Then one time my legs went numb and I could barely walk out. Now I just read the forums on MFP.

ASAP. It can be a deal breaker, so better to get it over with.

I really, really like this. Attitude is so important for achieving any goal, but especially for long term goals.

Diet Pepsi is just a cheap knock off of the Real Thing. (See what I did there - free branding for the home team.)

I held off responding until I read this. Having hosted a couple of parties where this happened and dealt with the aftermath, I cannot think of a better reason to honor the commitment to attend. If he has a horrible time, and it turns our he is an introvert or has social anxieties, you will have your own learning moment.…

Do you weigh your food? Seriously, just break up.
-
Good point. Thanks.

I am diligently weigh with the scale. I stopped using tablespoon and volume measurements about a year ago when I realized now much such measurements can understate the calories on the label. Grams for non-liquids. And due to my circumstances, I have been home for more than 80% of my meals these last 6 weeks, so I am not…

Yep. As I read my post, I realize the answer is basically in the question, isn't it? Just surprised me that I would be 20% lower than the averages. Le sigh.

War Eagle. Tigers. Really, now, will Auburn make up their mind one day?
-
Indeed. And it GEAUX TIGERS. Fixed it for you.

Totally with you on this. If I don't have a good dose of complex carbs. I do not feel full. That's why salads are generally ineffective for me.

Dammit! You beat me to it. Them's my peeps down on dat bayou.

Spent 11 out of 12 years in a khaki uniform. I hated the year I did not have a uniform. I think I wore the same pair of jeans most every day. Glad my kids had to/have to wear uniforms. Makes the morning so much easier. Unless they forget their belts, because my boys seem to have missed the "Remember-the Belt" gene during…

This is just completely unacceptable!

Oh, snap!

And a ridiculously expensive foosball table.

A nice fitting pair of jeans are nice and all, but nothing beats a good sun dress in the summer. (Bonus points for how easy sun dresses can hit the floor. )

Great! Now I have Depeche Mode's Blasphemous Rumours running around in my head. Thanks for nothing, ya'll. :grumble:

Wow. I am so glad to see I am not the only person who has struggled with pasta measuring. In the US, the pastas I buy are labelled dry weight, so that's easy enough. A couple of times, I cooked up multiple servings and then weighed the results of the batch to get a cooked weight per serving. The only constant I learned in…

I mean, for real, right?

If you have specific goals or it's part of deal with your partner, then you might have to stick it out. But if you are only doing it for fitness and you hate it, you should really consider something else. Sooner or later, you are likely to drop it and maybe not seek a substitute. Personally, I did not like running much,…
