Thank you. I'm going to log my food and be accountable. I know weight loss happens in the kitchen. Unfortunately I didn't have good doctors who were basing my medication solely on TSH and not doing any other labs for my T3. That went on for a few years. Finally last year I fought for myself and the doctors added T3 and it…

I had a Partial Thyroidectomy in 2015 and have struggled significantly to lose weight. I was on an anti-depressant for 2 years after, which will cause weight loss to be difficult. I have been off the anti-depressant for a year plus, also take prescription strength diet pills. I started kick boxing 3 nights a week, cut out…

I'm also looking for WW friends. ADD me.

I would like to add - these meals freeze well and defrost well - for easy go to freezer meals. However, I usually only eat for dinner. I have been on a steamed wonton kick for lunch from chinese place.

Mozzarella cheese, beans, and lots of greens. I find that zucchini with sauce, mushrooms and fat free mozzarella gives me around 40+ protein. I am always falling under because I go through "i'm sick of chicken" fits. I cut the zucchini lengthwise twice, then chop (i get nice triangles), sautee on a pan with spray or oil…

I have found that I eat much more fruit being a WW member. I feel that I can reach for that - still go over my sugar and carbs - and lose weight. It's healthier for ME. I find that the fruit gives my hair and skin a healthier glow. I do aim to stay under a certain calorie goal on MFP with the fruit. However, i'm always…

This is amazing. So glad I found this post. I hear your message and have been doing the same. Awesome!

Yesterday I didn't eat under maintenance. But I did do my 30 minutes on stationary bike - even though I was exhausted. Just for today I will eat under 1200 net calories and I will either walk for 1 hour or do my stationary bike for 1 hour.
-
Yesterday I did do an hour of stationary bicycle. Just for today I will eat under maintenance because today is a special day. My daughters 9th birthday. I will also do 30 minutes on the stationary bike no matter what time or how tired I am.

HAHA - Love it!

Just for today I will not let Saturday night derail my calorie goal. Just for today there will T-storms all night so after work I will not make any excuses and get on my stationary bike for at least an hour. Just for today.

I'm down 60lbs this last year and a half and have another 60lbs to go. I would LOVE to do it this year - and am okay with it taking a little longer. I'm a serious logger. I'll add you. Thanks!

You are not alone. I did this when I was 18. I lost 90lbs and kept it off for 5 years. BUT - I still wasn't happy. I had a low self-image despite what I got done. So - I gained it all back when I was 24 and more. It's so important to self talk UP. So - now at 30 years old i'm doing it slow and with LOVE. Love for myself…

-Hummus is a cheap nutritious lunch paired with veggies or pretzels. You can eat a whole small tribe container and 2 portions of pretzels for under 700 calories. (cheap, easy, portable). -Egg drop soup with wontons is also under 700. -turkey on a bagel with lettuce tomato and onion (no mayo) or light mayo. -hard boiled…

Love this!!

I feel this way. If I want to eat something, I eat it. I log it and then i'm accountable for what I ate. If I go over, it's because I wanted to. There are things that I wish didn't have calories... but that's fantasy. So, If I really want it, I have it and deal with the calories. Many time I have turned down "okay" looking…

You can help yourself reach your goal! You are your number one supporter or adversary. We want to lose weight to help ourselves. Let's me kind to ourselves and do this for US. We deserve to be happy, healthy and be nice to ourselves. I have been at this a year. I also had 130Lbs to lose... i'm down 53 lbs in a year. I lost…

I have been at it for a year. I eat all of my exercise calories back. I have my ticker set on sedentary and to lose 2 lbs a week. I usually lose about .5 lbs- 1.5 lbs a week. On average. I'm sure it's because I go over my calories most days. I have lost a total of 53 lbs this year by doing calories in and out. I also am…

J72 - You are right! I'm sure that would be the best and quickest way to lose weight. Unfortunately I just don't see myself sticking to something so rigid. This is why it took me a whole year to lose 50lbs. Because i'm just doing it slow and steady - so I don't burn myself out and I actually stick with it. I have been in…

50% carbs 20% fats 30% protein

I thought the same thing jimmy. But, I guess as I got older (in my 30's) my body easily gains weight now. So, a couple of bad days for me, means a set back of a month! It's okay. I will lose it again! I'm hoping it's just crazy sodium retention. I was trying to tell myself my body is holding fluid because of how dang cold…

H-5'5" W-248lbs Age-31 and I try to get a minimum of 30 minutes physical activity a day. Or I make it up on another day. I have a desk job 48 hours a week, plus car time, and two kids. I do a stationary bike and when the weather gets better I will be back outside. I will be tampering with jogging.... now that I can.

Actually 17.4% reduction in weight this year!!

I think I am. It's just upsetting to see the # go up when you give yourself room to maintain and the scale goes up 5 freaking lbs. I guess it could be a lot worse. I'm going to just stay as close to my 7,000c deficit a week as possible. Continue what i'm doing with my food, and what I know has worked for the last year...…

Agreed it's only an estimate. But it's a better estimate than MFP or me just making #'s up. Plus, I started exercising by walking only last April. Now I do a stationary bike and walking (walkings on hold until normal temps again) I just got an HRM for Christmas and have been using that to measure the biking I do 5-7 days a…

Agreed jimmy!! I have some good toys for measuring my calories burned during the day. I got a fitbit last April. It's amazing! It tracks all my steps and is the most accurate advanced pedometer on the market. It takes my height, weight and activity into consideration. So it actually tells me how many calories I burn during…

Yep. I figured I would drop 1-2lbs from water weight. UGH. I'm so good at logging but have not weighed the food i'm eating at restaurants or at families house. I'm so glad to be back on a schedule. I know how to do it. It's just so frustrating that I gain so easily but it takes me an entire month to lose 5lbs. And - I can…

Well, I know from past history if I just keep going on the track I will get there. I log, weigh and stay active. SO, whatever. I just was wondering if others have had such a drastic UP from a few days of indulgence. Maybe everyone else stayed "good" over the holidays. I'm a food addict. The holidays are just debilitating.
-
It's just crazy how quickly the weight comes back when you give yourself a little rope. I'm just going to stop the indulging now that the holidays are over and if it takes me the whole year to lose another 30lbs it is what it is. It's just crazy how quickly the weight comes on.
