We have similar goals :)

I didn't post my stats on Sunday, and have been avoiding it ever since. So here goes: Starting weight: 217 Goal weight: 197 (for now). Just three years ago I was at 135 and going to the gym six days a week at 5am. A few pregnancies, losses, and finally the birth of my daughter has found me where I am at now. I've got a…

Sounds good! Hoping to go grocery shopping this weekend so I can prep some meals for next week. I used to prep every Sunday but have gotten so busy. No prep = no food, or just really bad food choices!

I'll join in as well! I've been looking for a longer term challenge group. 1. I'll weigh in on Sunday's 2. I'll start tracking today 3. Aiming to exercise 3 days a week. Having a hard time fitting it in like I used to, so I will start small. 4. Lose 15 lbs to start, drink more water and have more energy.

I'm back to MFP trying to lose my baby weight, thought I would pop by and give some hope! TTC 6 years. Three early miscarriages, and one July 1 2014 that was late second trimester in which we lost our son. After countless rounds of Femera, IUI, three years of monthly meetings with the OB at our infertility clinic, we were…

I really need to join this challenge! I had two back to back pregnancies leading up to the birth of my LO (the first ended in a loss late second tri, then I was pregnant again within a few months. Starting starting weight was 145. Starting weight for second pregnancy was 175, 217 at birth. Currently 215 and really needing…

Thank you everyone for the wonderful company during this challenge. I have lost almost 20 lbs, and 31 inches. Most importantly though, I've fallen into quite the fitness routine and am now a regular at my gym. I was so afraid to join a gym, and am still a little self aware when doing my weight routines, but am now…

So sorry for your loss.
-
Hopefully everything is okay. Sure makes you appreciate being able to be active when an injury prevents you from doing so. You must be going stir-crazy without being able to go about your regular routine!

Ahhh already?! It feels like it's been such a short time, hard to believe three months has passed. I'm in the midst of exams, so just hoping to maintain - I've met my goal for this challenge, so very happy with that!! Good luck everyone : )

I agree, this challenge has been wonderful! So nice to have somewhere to check in each week, and the extra encouragement when you get sick/sway from your path a bit!
-
Great suggestions! I tend to eat the same thing for a week straight then switch it up, and know that I need to add in a bit more variety. My current classes are over April 16, after which I want to do some sort of 30 day exercise program. Thinking maybe 30 day shred? I eat almonds everyday :) I usually sleep 4-5 hours a…

Oops, double post :)

My favourite exercise has turned out to be TRX classes. I went to my first one at the beginning of this challenge, and have only missed one since. I like that it is challenging, easily adapted to different abilities, and that I can really push myself just by changing my body position and the amount of tension/pressure on…

I did wall sits at the gym yesterday as a break between barbell squats. I love to hate them!
-
I'll give this a go after my treadmill workout tomorrow. I have the day off work to write some essays - what better way to spend a study break!
-
I did these today - thought I would challenge myself and did a 1:45 plank, but then the side planks were so hard! My least fav ever has to be wall sits though :) After last weeks flu, I went back to work for 2 days, then got the flu again. Didn't know it was possible, but this has been a rough 2 weeks for sticking with my…

I thought I was back, my body said otherwise. My TRX instructor actually spoke to me after class and asked if I was ok, apparently I was a little green in the face : ) The best way to get back on track is just to force yourself though - I just got home from work and want to sleep, but I'm going to make myself run on the…

I'm back! Knocked on my butt by the flu since Thursday, it was a bad one! Back to work today, and back to TRX this eve - still have chills and a weak stomache, but better than it was!

Nice job Annette and Angela! There is a muscle there Angela, it just takes a bit to make it show ;) Mine are getting more defined as I lose weight, but will definitely never be as lean as someone with longer limbs.
-
Quick one on my way to the gym this am.
-
Angela, I registered for a run this summer as well - it's a Run or Dye 5k, and will be my first run ever. Looking forward to it, but still a bit nervous! Can't believe we are halfway already! Lost steam for a bit, and was sick, but back at 'er and motivated to make the best of March : ) We got a huge snowstorm last night,…

Even though I think I am the only one in the group from Canada, wishing you all a happy Family Day! We get the day off to spend with our loved ones, but you can celebrate by spending some time with yours tonight, or even just taking the time to send an email or make a phone call to say hello :)
-
ooo fun plans ladies :) I spent the night writing a paper while my hubby visited with his brother and fam who are in town for the weekend. Just heading to bed now, gym in the am then a packed weekend to celebrate Family Day on Monday :)

Good work everyone! I've been holding steady at 179-180 for a couple weeks now, really stepping up the cardio this week to hopefully break out of it.

I adapted the recipe from one I found on all recipes ... Heat a cast iron or oven safe pan over med. heat. Mist with olive oil. Wash, dry, and mist 3-4 chicken breasts with olive oil, then run with the seasoning of your choice (I use a chili lime seasoning mix). Sear each side on the pan for about 3-5 minutes, then put the…

Trying Zumba next weekend with a friend for the first time! I had her try TRX and yoga, and she had me try step and now zumba. Nervous but excited to try something new. Any advice for a first timer who is incredibly uncoordinated? My mother in law has a family photo shoot Feb 15th in the afternoon, and my husbands brother…

Oddly enough, a magnesium/zinc supplement helps with sleep as well when taken 30 mins before bed!

Sounds like we all had a pretty rough week! I did as well had a bout of something bad, and while I made it through the days at work, I spent the evenings in bed with soup and trying to get something done for homework. Roni, as well as everyone else - what do you do for workouts when you get blood work? I have to go once…

Can I just forget the entire past two weeks? The cold, and the multiple sodium-laden takeout soups, and the days I skipped the cardio because I was sick? I made it to the gym 3x a week still, but lost NO weight at all. Going to try to take the rest of February one day at a time, focusing on many small decisions that add up…
