  • I stay natural...bananas, oatmeal, go-gurts for the kids, yogurt for me and the husband. Not sure if you cook...but whole chickens go really far if you're willing to put in the effort. I have a family of 5, work and study and I still manage to make all our meals. Whole wheat breads, natural peanut butter and natural jams.…
  • Oh and scrub the potato and just cut off the eyes and eat them skin and all! Tons more nutrients!
  • I agree! Natural foods are fine! I rather eat a potato than processed pasta...although I do love my pasta! LOL
  • These are listed artist first then song name. Just a few I like.... Black eyed Peas - Just can't get enough Black Eyed Peas-The Time (Dirty Bit) great for interval training. although I'm not a huge fan of the slower part, but it's not bad... Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be Black Eyed Pea - Rock that Body LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennett…
  • I personally workout very hard and also do HIIT training. Since my main focus right now is to loose weight I find it very difficult to do HIIT training more than 3 times a week. My workouts besides my HIIT training are very intese too, so I've come up with a split rest day schedule that works so my body gets optimal rest.…
  • Yes! Yes! Yes! I have 3 and oh my goodness! My youngest is 3 now, which is nice, except for the fact that he didn't have his terrible two but opted for the terrible 3's...LOL Anyways, my husband is gone all of the time (military) and I am a full time student, so I am very busy. I signed the kids and I up to a gym that has…
  • Haha, I guess the resizing took a few minutes to take effect. So I guess I made it too small. First time I posted a picture in the forums, so I guess it's a learning experience! Thanks guys for all the positive feedback! I love MFP and it would definately be harder to reach my goals without this great community!
  • Grrr...whatever...tryied to re-post the pictures but the thirds still cut off...
  • can you see the third picture? I'm having technical difficulties...lol
  • Yes, this has been an ongoing issue in my house. My husband loves healthy food, so that is good. But for the most part I try to make a meat, starch, veggie for the plate, then put some fruit in the middle of the table for after. I usually take the meat and slice it and throw it on top of a salad with all the other veggies.…
  • I always giggle to myself as I walk past all the people on the machines and the elipticals at the gym. I'm very happy that they are there and doing something good for their bodys, but if they want to see killer results they should come do the plyo with me and all the push ups and sit ups in the big open aerobics room. I…
  • MooseWizard is right. On the same day with the same conditions once a week at most. It's ok to peak sometimes halfway through the week but don't make a habit of it!
  • Stair climber, step/aerobics class, pilates, squats, lunges and backward leg lifts. Pelvic tilts too! I think that's what they are called. Lay on your back, put your feet on the floor and your arms to the side. Pick up your butt and lift and lower, then hold up as high as you can, pulse it, then lift and lower again. This…
  • All I know is that you should eat about 60-65% of your diet being carbs. Weather it's veggies, fruit, pasta, rice or whatever kind of carb. I'm guessing anything under 60g or 55 grams of carbs a day would be low carb. I did the Atkins diet, back in the day and got really sick. I followed it to the "T" though. I don't…
  • All those arm exercises are the key! But remember, with general weightloss you will have less to wiggle! So it's important to loose weight and strengthen. It takes time and effort, but I know your strong! Also, those push ups that we've committed too will help!
  • Too muh is not good. Try not to go over 70 grams in my opinion. How much are you eating? Too much protein will make you loose weight because it acts like a diuretic, which dehydrates you. Also it can be bad on the kidneys, who wants to wear those out early? Keep it natural and you should be safe. If your going over because…
  • I'm at 151 and my goal is 140. It's hard the closer I get but I think I'm going to increase my cardio and just remember that if I stick to a healthy diet and get all my workouts in then I will be to my goal in no time. I've come this far and I don't want to waiste the efforts I've already put in. Not that it would be a…
  • Friday or Saturday morning...because I always use one splurge day on the weekend, plus I kick butt at the gym all week!
  • i love them all so much! But the one that makes me go mmm... everytime I eat it is zucchini. I usually thow it in my stir frys, but also saute them with carrots, onion, yellow squash, garlic, and anything else that I have for a side dish. Sometimes I just simmer them down like mashed potatoes, then I mash them up and eat…
  • hahaha...good luck with this one. I'd like to see what people come up with as I would use it too. I don't use a seasoning pack, but fried rice just always seems salty. I just use steamed rice now...more veggies and season with just a little soy sauce. It's not the same, but it's good enough to eat!
  • I agree with you totally ladybu6205. My total drive is to be healthy and the bonus is that I look good and feel good! I think it's totally ok for my family to have pizza once a week, and once I'm at my goal I will too...in moderation. it's outstanding that you have so many things genetically, driving you to be healthy, and…
  • Do you like popcorn? If so it works for me...I love my salty foods too. I have heart disease in my family, my grandmother died at 62 and my mother at 63 years of age, both were not over weight. It's what you call "skinny fat". Anyways, not everyone has that situation to motivate you not to eat bacon or chips, but try to…
  • I'm teaching the neighbor girls to jump rope along with my daughter. They are loving it! I take the kids to the park once a week or so. We used to go just about everyday, but my schedule has changed. My kids all have bikes and we go on family bike rides. They all have scooters and balls and anything to keep them active. My…
  • I agree 1200 is low. I know fiber rich foods and protein helps, but if you are active at all, this could be through exercise, working on your feet, grocery shopping and errands, house cleaning, or really anything at all...1200 isn't enough. 1200 is your bare minimum to function and if you eat that little bit of food and…
  • Yay! I love egg salad and always want it but never eat it. Thanks for a great recipe!
  • I've been working out the same amount, just before I had no idea how many calories I was burning or eating. I never gained weight I just never lost it either. So I'm learning. I just logged all my activities for today and it said I burned 1675 calories from working out. Before this wouldn't have been a problem because I…
  • OMG...MZBug, you just influenced me to look at my report for Net calories and I have been -800; 400 for two days in just the last week. I'm keeping really accurate accounts for everything, I think I just workout so much that I don't realize how much of a deficit I was burning. Thanks for all the help, I know know where I'm…
  • Thanks, that helps a lot! I've just never used the method and I saw that my net calories are negative now, but didn't know where they were supposed to be. I don't want to starve my body in any way so I was nervous.
  • I do spin 3-4 times a week. I also do strength training 3-6 times a week, I feel fine doing both, but you may want to start out just doing 1-2 a week then adding more in. Are they 30 minute spin classes or 1 hour. That makes a difference too.
