  • I've been eating Keto for just a few weeks and it is working for me. Of course there are pros and cons to all "diets", keto included. Feel free to add me as friend! I

  • I'd love some motivational friends. 32 year old woman with 20-30 pounds to lose. I'd especially love friends who like to cook and find fun ways to burn calories.
  • I love this idea - I hope I'm not too late to the game? I'm Anna. I'm adjust to a lower activity level in my life style after retiring from a really demanding sport. I am 5'5'' Previous weight: 190 Current Weight: 177 Goal Weight: 160 (for now)
  • I'm in exactly the same boat and want to lose the same amount of weight. My food plan is a little different, but same exercise plan and goals. Looking for supportive friends, especially ones with good recipes and fun exercise plans.
  • I just started Keto yesterday and I would love some support friends! 32 year old woman and I would like to lose about 30 pounds and get some non-drug relief from my migraines. Especially interested in other friends who love to cook and have fun while exercising.
  • I agree with varying your style up to avoid breaking. French braid, high and low pony tails. Switching to a softer headband or hair tie (fabric instead of rubbery). If I know I'm showering right after I use the opportunity to put a little leave in conditioner in my hair. That reduces the friction and adds some nutrients.…
  • I would love to join! My weigh in days are Monday and Friday. Current weight is 159 Goal for challenge is 145
  • I really like the Sun Bum sun screen stick for my face. I don't have sensitive skin so I'm not sure about that, but it doesn't glog my pores. I am a sweater and it never gets in my eyes. It also smells a amazing which is helpful for running. I received a Rodan and Fields sunscreen as a free gift that is really great. It…
  • One of my best friends just moved to Philly! Let's motivate each other :)
  • I could use some more accountability friends too. Add me!
  • I'm in the same boat! I recently retired from a very active sport and I'm struggling to change my lifestyle to accommodate NOT burning 1500 exercise calories a day :)
  • I agree that social etiquette rules against crowding another person if there are other options available. I have a big personal space bubble so my RBF usually gets the better of me and occasionally scares people away. I have noticed that sometimes when people are new to the gym they freeze up when picking a machine. Then…
  • this is the definition of spousal abuse. I vote do it anyway.
  • I could really use some friends with a good knowledge of nutrition. I work out a ton so burning calories is not a problem. But I’m also crazy busy and I know I eat way too much. I need some diary support!
  • I log my coffee as food – there a few calories in it that could add up if you drink enough. I don’t count it as water intake. Personally coffee makes my body feel less hydrated. Plus I need the reminder to drink less coffee and more water. That is just my personal choice based on my body – I don’t know that there is any…

  • Blue diamond makes cinnamon sugar almonds that are sweet but not as high in sugar. That and a diet pop or coffee will usually hit the spot for me.
  • Oh man, politics and pets. So up until the last few years I lived alone, worked 50 hours a week and had a dog. She is an amazing dog and has lived a very happy life. At 13 our vet is amazed at how healthy and good natured she is. We made it work – but these are things that were hard: 1. Every new place or schedule change…
  • I use ON Amino Energy for long workouts, practices, and games. It is chemical heavy, but, comparable products are just as bad. Coffee or energy drinks make me too jittery before exercise. If it is just to stay awake at work I probably just get an iced tea and a B vitamin. Are you getting enough sleep? Do you just have a…
  • I have a very intricate foot tattoo and I only missed 3 days of exercise and tennis shoe wearing. I covered the tattoo in a great deal of Aquafor lotion (something like that, I might have the name slightly off), then covered it in plastic. If at any point I felt some friction I just reapplied. I have no fading on my…
  • I would do a walk as soon as you finish work, so you don’t have time to get too comfortable. Doesn’t have to be a long or fast walk, just whatever you feel up to. Then I would find something that comforts you other than food and spend the night doing that. A long hot bath, movie you’ve been wanting to see, something like…
  • The activity tracker I have (Basis B2) is way more accurate than the preloaded actives in MFP. Since I eat back my exercise calories that’s huge. I was way over estimating a lot of my activites. That being said, if you don't have the money you can probably make a pretty good guess and get results.
  • I felt way better when I started drinking more water – I drink about 80 oz. Since I was used to sipping coffee or pop all day I just switched to sipping water all day. I sweat a lot when I workout and tend to be naughty when it comes to sodium so I don’t think I can overdo it. If my pee is clear I ease off a little. I…
  • This is most likely going to get some hate response but here goes. From working with doctors for many years, I’ve learned they might not be verbalizing their entire thought process, only the conclusion they come to. So his conclusion was most likely whatever you are eating is sustaining you. You have not lost weight too…
  • Infusing water really helped me. I just put a few slices of some fruit in there and it was much more appealing. I sip it constantly as opposed to drinking a lot at once. When I first started making the effort to drink more water I did feel like my belly was sloshing before I hit the 8 glasses, but now I easily drink 8…
  • Turkey and lentil stew and maybe some bread on the side if I get a good workout in
  • I would go with the highest quality heart rate monitor in your budget. I would read a lot of the activity tracker’s description carefully – if they don’t include a heart rate monitor function then they are just measuring motion. Calculating calories based on your heart rate is the most accurate. I’m about to upgrade to the…
  • For a major recovery like what you are facing, you need to listen to your doctor. If he isn’t starting you in PT until October there is a reason.

  • Does it say if it also has a heart rate monitor function? That gives the most accurate information about your calories burned.
