Thanks for the kind words. I do feel a lot better. I can actually go up and down my stairs at home without getting out of breath. lol I work out about 5-6 days week for a minimum of 45 minutes. I usually am at the gym for up to 2 hours per day. I love the gym now. I have been going pretty faithful since January 2013. I do…

Old_zps63adc1ed.jpg New_zpsf36fb916.jpg I am unsure if this photo post will work. It is my first time posting it. Needless to say, I have been on my quest to loose this weight since 01/19/13. It has been very difficult and challenging. I had gotten down to a loss of 76 pounds, but recently gained back 8 pounds. My goal is…

I've hit 2 major plateau's myself, but found that when I upped my GREENS (spinach, salads, kale, broccoli, green beans, brussels sprouts - you get the idea), then the weight started coming off again. I also researched a lot about plateau's so this wouldn't happen again and found out the following. (1) eat all your fruits…

Great job!!!!

GREAT JOB! LOVE THE PICTURES! WISHING I LIVED THERE OR COULD AT LEAST VISIT! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

My bf constantly is saying that I'm going to find another man.

THREE things that stand out to me: 1) I have bagged 3 huge leaf bags full of clothes (so far) that no longer fit = BARELY ANYTHING LEFT TO WEAR 2) When I go shopping for new clothes, I keep looking at the old size that I was and then realize that size no longer fits me. WHAT WAS I THINKING? 3) I LIVE IN MY GYM CLOTHES

Great story!!!! I too have 130+ pounds to loose. Actually the goal is 135 pounds to loose. I have been on this journey for almost 5 months and I hope to get to my goal weight within the year. You definitely have inspired me!!! Thanks!

I love - 1 cup of frozen blueberries (place in a bowl) add about 3 tablespoons of skim milk and mix add a small packet of sugar substitute or raw sugar and mix. It is like a quick fresh low calorie ice cream.

GREAT JOB! One day at a time is a great way to approach this life change. Good Luck. I know we can do it!

How did you come up with the minimum calories?
-
Turn your I can't into HELL YES I CAN
-
I craved protein today. ALLLLLL DAYYYYY! Could not stop.
-
Thanks. Just thought I would ask the question because I have never craved PROTEIN. Not like this. I also thought maybe it is because I am working out and lifting weights since January. Something I have not done for many years prior.

WOW! I hate to say this, but I have to tell you what I thought. When seeing the first picture I thought you were a man in his 60's. When I saw the weight loss picture, I thought a man in his 30's.

This has happened to me, but only about a week or two at a time where I hit a wall. Went on MFP and asked this same question. The answer that WORKS - UP YOUR GREENS (spinach, mixed greens, broccoli, kale, etc..) When I say up your greens I mean - eat like 4 cups a day or more. I find this works and pushes you through the…

I see you stated that you like chips, try: Terra exotic vegtable chips and/or Garden of Eatin' Sprouted Blues (organic). Both are really good, provide you with that little bit of salty crunch that you may be seeking. I love the sprouted blues with organic fresh mango and red pepper salsa - which is low in calories and…

I do the same thing with rewards. I think this is an awesome idea. I have 10.8 pounds to loose per month over the next year. So, when I attain my 10.8 pound goal each month, I reward myself. My first reward was a $10 water bottle. My second reward was a gym bag (at the gym I work out at). I have only been on my quest for 2…

Name: bkciddir Weight lost so far: 31 pounds (in 2 months - Started January 09, 2013) Weight to loose: 99 pounds more to go (by January 09 2014) Best piece of advice: Cleaning up my eating (healthy - extra extra fruits and vegtables) and working out for 1 hour minimum, 6 days per week (I also try to change things up at the…

I have looked for chia seeds. Unable to find them in my area. I went to a great organic health store in Ithaca, NY and couldn't even find them there. The one good think is that everything in my house - food wise, is all healthy foods (NO CHEESECAKE). I line my entire refridgerator with veggies and the table has bowls of…

Thank you all for the GREAT advice! I think when I work out and burn over 700 calories, my body wants to consume food for the workout. I drink plenty of green tea and water all day, so I know that is not the problem. After working out yesterday, I drank over 77 oz. of water and that was before I was ravenous. I do agree…
