Physical disabilities have stopped me from strenuous activities but I can walk so I do frequently. Best exercise ever. Sometimes with a cane if I need it. I’m praying for you!

I’m 67 and was just told I’m pre diabetic. My BS is 100 fasting. I’m finding it hard to cut carbs because I love bread and ice cream. Any suggestions?

Take it one day at a time! It will become a habit eventually! I have been logging over 2500 days and it has helped me control gaining weight! I lose very slowly so I have to keep at it! You’re doing great!

Congrats on your smokeless three months! I quit Jan 26,2012 when I almost died from a blood clot in my heart! You are doing great!

I was just told I am pre diabetic and have to cut carbs. I am also on SS. I buy lean meats, fresh vegetables when they’re on sale or canned low sodium vegetables and rinse them to remove more sodium. Frozen vegetables have less sodium and go on sale frequently. The 12 grain bread is good. I suspect you have already seen a…

You might benefit from Overeaters Anonymous. I gained a lot of weight when I quit smoking and drinking due to a blood clot in my leg! There is also a group here called One Day at a Time. Good luck! You’re doing the right thing. It’s hard to live life on life’s terms without alcohol but it does get better. I am 8 years…

Start slow and don’t use a trainer! Just walk a little on the treadmill. If you do too much you might hurt yourself. I’m 67 and can do 30 on the treadmill but I had to work up to it. Keep the resistance machines at 10 pounds to start. You will do great!

Don’t give up! I have been on her 6 years and have only lost 32 pounds but it’s 32 pounds I would have gained if I had quit. I log every BLT( nite, lick and taste) that goes in my mouth. Please keep trying. I am also disabled and limited in my exercise.
