A big bowl of plain (no butter) popcorn and sugarless hot chocolate can give you the cozy feeling you're looking for without blowing it. Rest and hold off the cravings as long as possible. Lots of times if you just wait about 20 minutes - they go away. :ohwell:

I hear you! I was so happy I went to an hour-long Zumba class last night - I would have only had 268 calories for dinner, instead I had about 800! Like my dad says, I exercise for pie...lol

Good job! I'm trying to lose that much myself. I think a lot of self-image is mixed together with past humiliations. You look in the mirror and see echos from your past that can cloud your judgment. This is no different I guess than watching The Biggest Loser, and noticing the commercials are for fast food, lol. You can't have a Nutrisystem or Weight Watchers without fat people. How do you make people fatter? By throwing food ads at them!

If you are on the road, keep in mind that McDonald's has the lowest calorie fast food. The oatmeal is good, you can also have a salad with grilled chicken (hold the dressing), or a fish sandwich. I'm a vegetarian and tend to eat a lot of fruit. The only problem is, it pushes me over on the sugar quotient. I think adding vegetables can give you the same healthy skin without all the sugar. I think salad is always looked at as a "diet" food - so people on diets think they have to eat it, then get sick of it! There are other ways to go besides salad - green beans and walnuts, Persian eggplant stew, baked sweet potatoes, roasted cauliflower....the possibilities are endless...
