What questions do we ask? Do you suggest a full psych assessment before we give our opinion? Look, all I know is I can only give an honest account of what I would do in that situation. Do I say no and whine to anyone who will listen how much I want to eat some cake or do I have a small piece and be happy and proud of…

Totally agree. Its all about portion control. Who can possibly not eat their favourite food for ever.

1) I eat 50%-75% of them as I'm abit sceptical of the burn rate - But always 1,200 cals a day. 2) yes so far so good.

I always try and fit in 45-60mins on my exercise bike before breakfast, stick some soap on the TV and vigorously cycle! I agree that by lunch time I will have no energy to exercise, I prefer to get it out of the way.

hmmm I think lots of us have that problem. What about taking the scale to a friends house, leaving it there and just going round to visit one day a week and at the same time weigh yourself? Might be abit extreme but I would prefer that than being disappointed when the scale tells me something I dont want to see. Good luck

Hi there, this is quite a common question on here. I think that you should try to use most of the calories burned. Yep. I think there comes a time when you just wake up to reality. You go into a shop to buy something pretty and you pick up the size you were as a teenager and SHOCK HORROR does not fit.... Whether it be health issues or simply finding that perfect outfit something just clicks in your head and you want to stick at it this…

True. I find that the thought of being able to have that little bit extra to eat is all the motivation I need to get me on my exercise bike and burn them calories. Plus you feel so much better once you get active!

Yep all of those! Excellent thread.

I have a stationary bike, I put the telly on and vigorously cycle for about an hour. This burns close to 1000 cals.

I would make sure there was always enough funds to help young people. I work for a local government and budgets for young people's services are taking a hit.

Hey Irns88, your doing really well. Keep on the track your on and you will get to where you want to be. My mum used to always say eat less too and it caused some major rows. I lose more now from eating more! Ps I'm a southerner

Hi Laura, I'll be your buddy! You can do it. You will be surprised at how easy it is after the first few days/week. Have a goal in mind, it makes the time go quicker. x
