In this beginning, I focus far less on "clean" or low carb eating, macros (or any of it, really) and instead focus solely on calories in-calories out. Cut your portions so that you can stay in a calorie deficit, and don't worry so much right now about diets, healthy recipes, etc. Getting started is the hardest part, and…

I’m still at the very beginning and finding it hard. I’ve come away this week and it’s has been impossible to continue. I will make a fresh start when I am back and I think I will start with portion size. And maybe eating one healthy evening meal a week.

Well done! Keep it up!

Amazing progress! Well done, you should be so proud! I’ve just started my journey. Any tips on how to get started?

Hi there, I loved reading your updates. It is so inspiring. I am 40 and the biggest I have ever been in my life. I don’t like the weight and want to get rid of it and live a healthier life. But I have been stopping and starting a lot over last year. I put a lot of effort into the Keto diet last summer, lost some weight and…

I’m the same. Gained the weight I lost and more without even realising! Please add me as your friend and let’s do this together!

My story is the same! I lost weight using mfp, life happened, gained all the weight back and more without even realising. But I’m struggling to make a start. I am constantly hungry and over my calorie goals!

This is me too! I am also a single parent with a demanding career and struggling to find time to think about what I eat plus regular exercise.
-
Wow, you look totally amazing. Enjoy your success!

Sorry, what's 21 day fix? It's the first I have heard of it.
-
Great tips! Thank you.

I would like to practice being in the present moment. I work full time and have 2 young ones-busy life! So when I am at work I want to focus on work and when I am with my children, I want it to be quality time rather then always thinking about the next thing on my to-do list.

This thread speaks right to me! Thank you for creating this thread. I am just starting up my weighloss again and love the idea of looking after ourselves with weighloss being a by product. My key this week & weekend is to try pre-plan my food and start up exercise in a few days.

Amazing work. You look great!

I breastfeed her 3x a day but I have no idea how many calories that is. She does seem to drink less now though.

Sounds like I should re-adjust my aim to trying to lose 1lb a week. Thanks everyone!

I definitely don't want to become obese. I've been there & don't want to go back! Although, even when I was obese I couldn't manage more then 1lb.
-
Thanks for informing of how to enter breastfeeding calories. That is super helpful!
-
When I've lost weight before, I've never managed more then 1lb a week weight loss, sometimes less then 1lb. But as I'm breastfeeding, I was hoping that would make me lose weight faster as that uses a lot of calories.

I am going to be doing the 30 Day Shred which is HIT and has worked well for me before. Thing is, there is no option for breastfeeding on mfp, so I'm not sure how many calories that consumes. Having looked online it's 500-800 calories, which is why I was hoping to aim for 2lb a week.
-
In terms of exercise, for now I think realistically I can do that 3x a week. Anything more then that will tire me out too much. I am only a single parent to 2 children.

I have a 8.5 month baby and although I've been thinking about losing weight for months, I'm ready to start now! I have around 23 lb to lose to start with.
-
I'm 5'3 and am looking to lose 23lb to start with. I would love to love more but that feels like fantasy right now. So for now I'll ambe so happy if i can lose 23lb.

I'm a breastfeeding Mum :)

My baby is approaching 3 months and I'm starting to think about losing the weight. I have 2 stones to drop. Im thinking of setting my mfp as maintaining weight and relying on the calories that breastfeeding burns as my deficit.

Thank you

Thank you all for your responses!

I'm so glad to come across this post. I just posted something similiar. I'm 13 weeks pregnant and have worked hard to lose most of my weight. Keen not to gain any of it back (or even lose some if possible!). I've been quite sick and generally feeling aweful since December. But am starting to feel bit better and would like…

Wow, that is amazing progress, congratualtions!! Congrats on your babies too!
