You have done so great. The 160s are my next goal. I am in the same boat. Started at 191 and now am 177. My motivation has gone poof too. I had a couple months with no progress and I’ve become discouraged and half hearted in my efforts. I think understanding myself better is helping. Also reading these posts. Understanding…

Make the best of a challenging situation. Don’t wait until you’re starving to eat and try to make a habit of adding a salad or your favorite veggie toppings to fill you up whenever you have a slice and don’t eat any of the crust. Also make a habit of drinking water whenever you can during the whole shift. :)

So inspiring! Nice work! Same great smile!

Great accomplishment! That’s impressive! You look very different and your efforts most definitely show! Congrats on an awesome loss! I’m also 5’9 but in my 40s. The weight range for my age and height is 137 lowest and the highest 176. That’s the difference between me wearing a size 4 and a size 10-12. I’ve found there’s a…

Was having a similar problem and currently finding a strategy that works for me. Most people on keto say they feel full so I’ve tried something similar. I noticed that when my main meals are keto-like (ex. salmon and avocado) I feel more satisfied. I will have a carb and drink plenty of water after a workout. Sometimes I…

If I’m still hungry I’ll eat something healthy that light and that I really enjoy....cup of strawberries with hot tea, a salad with blueberries and avocado, peaches, or cucumbers and carrots. That way I can still stay true to my long term goal which is eating healthier.

Maybe you like moving but not exercise which is kinda boring unless you don’t feel like your exercising. You could try something like putting music on at home and see if it helps. Dancing seems to come pretty easily if the music is great. And a great song can get you motivated while exercising.

Just a tip once the rice cools I fill and flatten the bags so they take up less space in the freezer. Efficient and cheaper than Trader Joe’s.

Congrats to all on maintaining your success! Appreciate all of your great insights! Hear ya, noted and applying . You are right about fitness goals...they have certainly been more fun and motivating than any maddening scale goals.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Seems it’s a mix of things you all enjoy mixed with a bit of purposeful intention. A recipe for sustainable success...I love that!

I’m 43 and have about 40+ pounds to lose. Please add me and let’s do this! Have been officially logging and exercising since mid January. Anyone making steady progress weekly or monthly? It seems I’m really going to have to take a long term view of losing and am curious if anyone else is or has had to adjust to that?

You might try draining the juice and drizzling a serving with honey or maple syrup before you eat. You could pour off the juice and sweeten it with sugar but you may have to heat it to get the sugar to dissolve completely. Then cool it and pour it back over the segments. It’s going to have to be pretty sweet to get a syrup…

I’m 43....I was getting pretty discouraged before because my efforts were all over the place and didn’t seem to amount to much. I’ve since committed to logging and having a daily deficit so I can measure my efforts. I’ve read that it takes more time and a committed effort but it will come off if we stick to it and don’t…

I don't work long shifts but an early shift then have my little one the rest of the day.Believe in the power of rest, sleep and meal planning on your workdays. You might try more activity and less intensity if you're too sore to workout the full 4 days your off. That is longer, less intense exercise over the course of the…

Start small...ask for a couple basic things like apple and oatmeal. Make sure you eat them each week and ask for the same items until you don't have to remind her anymore. Then add a new one. She's shopping for one household not two separate ones, so it might be helpful to start with easy and inexpensive things that…
