I agree with the majority, it's a personal preference. For me, I do a cheat meal or snack, once in a while, but I try to do it within my caloric limits. Cheat days will completely ruin my mood with a whole day of bad meals. Not to mention the Eater's Remorse/Junk Food Hangover the next day... . If you're starting out, I…

I deleted my FB over a year ago and haven't looked back. I don't socialize on MFP as much, but it is a great wellness community when you need support.

Coffee, espresso, Americano...all black, no cream or sugar. Please and thank you.

What kind of vegetarian are you? Lacto/ovo? If you're really strict, stick with the steamed veggies and tofu, lightly pan fried. In a separate pan, otherwise you'll get your food deep fried in the same vat as the chicken. Not only do a lot of the sauces and soups are high in sodium, they're made with beef/chicken stock.…

Cardio and lifts should be fine then. I wouldn't worry to much about those doing you any harm. As for the scabbing part, maybe you should be weary about any movements that could cause the scabs (if there's scabs) to bleed. Then wait until it's just flaking to get back into your regular schedule.

IMO it depends on the size and location, if your bra strap won't rub I say go for it, just make sure you're maintaining it during and afterwards (i.e. touching equipment with it). I was able to work out the first couple of days once the swelling subsided but when the tattoo started to heal, it was a problem for me. Then…

Double bumps for these two posts. I guess before you can really find an answer that suits you, you need to ask your trainer what his goal is for you and if it differs from your actual needs. A lot of this is perspective and everyone is different in likes/dislikes and abilities. I'm sure he has his best concerns for you,…

I do, but to a certain extent. I work out in the evenings a lot, so I have to prepare myself to burn the calories I take in. Of course everyone is different and has a different perspective on things, but I don't see it as a calorie deficit--I see it as a way to earn my exercise for the day. I need the calories for energy,…

Counting the weight I've lost before joining MFP, I've lost 24 pounds = a 3-gallon tub of super-premium ice cream.

Bump for a good read.

No gloves, no straps, lots of chalk.

It also depends on your age and what your fitness goals are. Less than 25% is healthy but if a woman drops below the mid teens in percentage, it can have negative effects on your hormones & fertility. I'm over 30 and I have to watch mine carefully.

Just my opinion...I believe being fit and healthy is a lifestyle, not just a hobby. It takes more than just a couple of hours out of my day to watch what I eat, plan my daily activities and participate in events that help me reach a PR. Especially when your passion for it is a stepping stone to a profession of it. For…

I can't tell you my favorite character. Martin will kill that person off.

Will do.

Yoga pants are nothing, there are two girls at my gym that are the star attractions. One, for the fact that she wears what I consider to be a lycra/spandex blend ice skating outfit to do circuit training in...the other, who wears the same grey booty shorts, hot pink skinny tank, with her hair down and makes loud sex noises…

Everyone has already posted great suggestions, the run intervals and of course starting at a lower speed. Something else you may want to consider on your down time, breathing exercises. I'm not that great of a runner but since I've been doing yoga, the breathing exercises have helped me developed my lung capacity and pay…

1979 Datsun 510 coupe. Sky blue, no running AC or power steering. It was amazing. I LOVED that car.

This is amazing.

Don't worry about what other people are thinking or saying. For the most part, its only what YOU THINK they are thinking or saying. Being self concious in the beginning is part of it, but you will grow out of it. When I started running I was embarrassed on my lack of endurance and was a bit annoyed by it. My suggestion is…

Just out of curiosity, how long is the span of this diet? It seems that though it works while you're on it, but what happens when you decide to go back to a normal week of caloric intake?
