How lovely - congratulations to you both!

That's really lovely. Being able to recognise and appreciate a moment like that is so important.

Bragg Liquid Aminos - a few sprays of this, to make a mix of onion powder, garlic powder and nutritional yeast stick. Or just Bragg Liquid Aminos on its own - it's gorgeous.

Great job, Dave! You look great :)

Yes! It has a decent amount of calcium too - great for a vegetarian, of course.
-
Great job - what an inspiration!
-
Blackstrap molasses has both - I have a tablespoon after breakfast, it's nice!
-
That's brilliant, you look absolutely great.

Thanks, made me do a work LOL

This really is a very good post - thanks for taking the time to write it.

For lunch today I had 125g pinto beans (11g protein), 50g cottage cheese (6.5g protein), and a serving of a variation of this homemade vegetarian sausage: http://www.theppk.com/2011/05/smoky-maple-sausages/ (17g protein). I heated the beans and homemade sausage, sliced the sausage, and mixed it all together with a couple…

Brilliant! And such a good read :)

Eat only at the table, never standing up, and never eat a meal in front of the TV.

I'm 5ft 8 also, and started out similar to you, maybe a bit bigger - size 20/22 perhaps. That was Jan 13, and now I'm sitting in work in a pair of 12 UK jeans from M&S that fit perfectly (although M&S might be a bit on the vanity size side of things!) and I've been wearing these jeans for a few weeks now although they fit…

I agree with this poster exactly - my shape has changed in ways I hadn't anticipated. But I have, also like the poster above, made one exception: I twice bought cheap jeans I already liked, but in a size down. These have been a great help to me - a great incentive, and when they fit, an undeniable measure of how far I've…

Good for you, you look so great! And yes - if we don't love ourselves, how can we expect anyone else to!
-
That happened to me today - I kept looking at the size UK 18 clothes in the sales bit. I forget what size I am, or don't truly believe what size I am now! Seeing as I spent a decade in denial about how big I was I suppose it's only natural not to fully recognize what size I am today. There was a dress I saw a couple of…

You look great, nice job!!

Dates, cut up fine and simmered with a little water, will make a sticky, sweet binding liquid!

Same here!

Most days I take a walk at lunchtime, 30 or 40 minutes. It's not vigorous exercise, I know, but it all helps - and it clears my head for a productive afternoon. And no shower needed!

Eat some bread - just make it very good, very delicious bread, that's worth eating. I get a white spelt loaf from an upmarket deli, or a wholemeal soda from a local upscale restaurant that makes its own bread in-house. Both are incredibly delicious. I eat a piece of either each morning with my breakfast. As I don't each…

Figs and dates. I never even thought about dried fruit a year ago, now it is my favourite thing over.
-
Amazing - you're looking great, well done! And congratulations on having the courage to post pics, I don't have nearly so much courage! Edit - I just read back and noticed the dates - you've achieved SO much in so little time.

Just jumping back into this thread to say - I felt able to buy a pair of M&S "Bootleg Denim Jeans Product Code: T54/6140" in a UK 12 the other day, and - I managed to fit into them! Now, they're not wearable yet, but I squeezed into them, and buttoned and zipped them up. Thrilled doesn't begin to cover it - I have never…

What about having a nice, fast walk and listing to podcasts on subjects that interest you? I love WTF with Marc Maron, he interviews comedians and musicians for an hour, in-depth about their lives and works. I listen to Barry Katz's "Industry Standard" podcast too. Both are fascinating and inspiring.

I bit my nails from birth to early 30s. I hated my hands, and I had lots of novel ways of holding my hands in such a position so no-one could see my nails. This product was the one that helped break the habit for me - Flexitol Cuticle & Nail Cream: http://www.flexitol.com/il/products/nail-care/cuticle-nail-cream It…

Popcorn - made on the stove with a tiny bit of oil. Season with nutritional yeast, paprika and onion powder. This snack has kept me sane!

Congrats to you OP! I finished C25K back in March and by the end wasn't running 5K in 30 mins - more like 3.5K in 30 minutes. And I didn't have a clue what to do next. So I just kept up the routine of running for at least 30 minutes, 3 times a week. I've experimented with trying to go faster for a shorter time, and going…
