i have just started limiting my carbs to this level i.e. 20-30grams per day (u can say i am following atkins diet) i also dnt have severe issues related to PCOS but issues like thinning of hair and irregular periods are there. So, i was wondering if i dnt take glucophage, would it effect negatively on me or i can replace…

i am 5'6'' , and 132lbs and my goal weight is 122lbs. but no matter how clean i eat, my weight never drops than this because of my PCOS i guess

Actually i am suffering from PCOS and my problem is, i cant eat fruits or consume dairy products like other non-PCOS sufferers due to insuline resistance :(

Actually i am suffering from PCOS, so i can't eat sweets like others and because of that i am lacking in my daily cals quota :(

I dont feel like anything but i dnt feel myself hungry....if you view my diary, you'll notice i dnt take low fat dairy. but still couldn;t cross even a minimum of 1200cals :(

i also would like to know more abt it because one of my friend suggested me to consume fruits as per my wish/desire because sugar in fruits is fructose and fructose is not a bad sugar but due to some medicinal issues, i am also trying to avoid sugar as much as possible so doesn;t know sugar from fruits is good or not :(

i came to know abt my PCOS this oct and after doing lots of research , have found that low carbs intake really help me alot to loose weight....though i am not overweight (29yrs old with 139lbs with a height of 5'6'') but still my doc wants me to lose 10-12lbs :) fee free to add me up if u want.

Limiting your carbs is a better option. And if you dont wana do it , the best strategy is eat whatever you want but fill yourself to a half apetite. (reduce your food portion to half)

check myself in the morning..........at night, it changes due to to food choices and water intake...withme its always 2-3kgs more in the night.So, i always weigh myself in the morning...it gives a sort of relaxation to me :)

Hey thanks...have gone through your diary and ur carb intake is really low and i can get guidance from your diary regarding food choices :) Btw i am 137lbs with height 5'6'' and even after 4 days i haven't lost a single pound :(

So how long did u take medicin to regulate your periods??and when you stopped those medicines, dint your PCOS come back?

Thas cool but my problem is i am not over-weight at all..i am 5'6'' and weight 137lbs so its taking too much with me to loose weight :( by the way what do you mean by moderate carbs?? do u eat rice, pasta and bread??
