  • <3 So proud of myself for getting up early this morning and doing some cardio! Yay! 18 minutes Stretch/Yoga 6/19 17 minutes of HIIT cardio 6/20 9.86 hours
  • Fortunately I have a great schedule and workout in the evening. Some snacks I eat (meal prepping and planning ahead helps bunches)- Fruit Cheese Greek Yogurt protein shakes veggies with bolthouse yogurt ranch dressing Protein bars (mmm. chocolate) boiled eggs tuna pouches I do HIIT cardio about 2 times a week and that only…
  • As others have said could be that you need a diet break or up your calories. Low energy could be a lot of things. I have been experiencing this everyday all day for the past year or more. But I pretty much know what my problem is and I am stubborn but am finally addressing it. I got bloodwork done a week ago everything…
  • Time is the biggest thing that helps. Since time goes at it's own pace and there's not much you can do about that. Do something for you, revisit things that you used to like to do that you may have gotten away from. (for me this is art, volleyball and working out) Try something new everyday, no matter how small, a new…
  • Not diet, but when I make spaghetti - I like to make everything seperate. My ex liked to mix the sauce with the noodles all in one pot. I cook the noodles and keep them seperate from the sauce and/or meatballs and then I dish it out one by one - first the noodles and then the sauce sitting on top. **Although, if someone…
  • Pfsht... This is a 'Nope'!
  • I have a armband and I also have a sports style fanny pack. Both work wonderfully. I don't know why but I prefer the arm band. Maybe it's because I feel like the fanny pack make my stomach look bigger under my tank tops (it's a shallow thing I guess). :) Arm bands are sold everywhere, just make sure your phone fits…
  • You can try and find substitutions - greek yogurt, fruit, infused water, etc. Another option would be to go on Pintrest or other sites and look up sweet yet healthy recipes that are more natural and get to cooking. Or the last option is moderation (this is hard for some people and does take practice). I use moderation…
  • I can only speak from my experience. I've done the 5-6 days a week cardio bunny thing - very lean look, not much muscle. Then I bulked - during the bulking phase was rough because my midsection stayed thick but loved the muscles that I gained. For about the past 6 months I've been trying to trim down a bit, yet keep most…
  • @SnocoPower - Great goals!!! I set small weekly goals that help with my large ending goals too. How did you do? @rheddmobile - Yep, THANKS! The advise you gave about writing things down and letting it go to do the things that make you happy is awesome advise. @finngirl61 - I am divorced, I went through years of a stressful…
  • Let me try this again 114 minutes of Legs and Abs 6/17 107 minutes of Lifting Shoulders 6/18 9.28 hours of exercise
  • Protein pancakes instead of full on regular pancakes. Not truly a swap but ground turkey and ground chicken. Until about 2 years ago I only ate ground beef. (I still eat lean ground beef too). Equal instead of white sugar - 2 equals sweeten my coffee instead of half a cup lol (exaggeration. and I don't care if the…
  • I Know Right! I am at the point in my fitjourney where I feel "good enough". I've lost weight to where I was really thin, gained muscle another year and now I'm just trying to hold onto the muscle I worked for but possibly trim down a bit. My problem is I am happy with about 90% of my body and so I tend to give in to…
  • I suggest you decide what goals you truly are after. Then work toward them. As others have said - look for a program to follow. Then go from there, your results or lack of will motivate you to keep it at 3 times per week or to up it. Good luck
  • This has been me for the past 3 weeks! I have only been putting in about 3-4 days a week at the gym when normally it's a full 6 days. I've felt a little down, unmotivated and tired. I had bloodwork drawn and everything came back within range. I have a doctor's appt next month for sleep study, I think I have sleep apnea. I…
  • I try and make more than enough for dinner and then have left overs for the next day or sometimes I will cook a bunch of one thing on a Sunday evening and divide it up for the week. some things I like: Turkeyburger cheese casserole Chicken burrito bowl Turkey meatloaf Chicken pasta bake Turkey chili Barbecue chicken Baked…
  • June 12th - 76 minutes of Legs and Abs 5.6 hours My exercise has been on "pause" for now, until I feel better. I'm hoping for this weekend. Everyone is so inspirational with their activity!!! Keep it up!
  • @rheddmobile - Hap Hap Happy belated birthday!!! If you can do it anyone can do it!!! Way to push through and keep fighting @trailgirl777 - YES! It is very important to love yourself at any stage in your life. I learned this the hard way (depression and lots of therapy). I used to always feel guilty no matter the smallest…
  • @katadx - That's awesome that you got to spend quality time with your fam. I started out my fitjourney only working out at home, you can definitely keep up your fit goals. And definitely is less time consuming. @rheddmobile - Hey, how's your hubby doing? That's great that you are trying new things - entertaining others…
  • Ok, so my blood work All came back good: organs, viatmins, thyroid and more. Next will be a trip to my doctor to get a sleep study. Work has been so crazy and busy, which I kinda thrive in. I have been having small adventures every weekend like I promised myself. Have been a little more relaxed in my eating the last couple…
  • Congrats on the great work. My body has definitely held different looks at about the same weight. I lost weight initially and was happy I lost it but had no muscle, then I gained and lost again to my smallest (due to taking care of my mother) and I felt scrawny, then I bulked last year and felt thick yet muscular and right…
  • @str8bowbabe - Awesome job on the water and the stress free walk. I hope you feel better soon. @ginagee48 - Walks are so nice. It's important to try and destress and think lovely thoughts. @katadx - Yes, form is key to lifting and getting results. I'm glad you are learning and open. OMG! Halo Top, I love that stuff! Enjoy…
  • It differs from day to day. If I have a later gym sesh and am not very hungry beforehand, I eat my dinner late (and vice versa). Last night I had a snack about 5pm and waited for my partner to go to the gym at 7:30pm. Then I ate dinner about 9:30pm. Whatever works.
  • I have conditioned my taste buds to drink coke zero or diet dr pepper. I mainly drink coffee and water but I do allow myself a fizzy drink about 2 or 3 times a week. If a place only has diet coke (blech) - I will mix half diet coke and half regular. If you really want the full calorie drink, just work it into your day and…
  • 60 minutes of Chest 06/08 4.34 hours
  • @aleahurst - That sounds so good! Post Away! :) @jessiquoi - Water!!!! That's awesome. Yep, I also need to go grocery shopping. I have some sides and a little bit of chicken, however I've been out of whole foods, like fresh fruits and veggies for some time. Keep it up Water - Yesterday I think I got in about 12 cups. So…
  • 85 minutes of Arms and Abs 06/06 3.34 hours
  • In the past, when I was younger absolutely, emotions and stress had a role in my overeating. However, I have gotten a much better hold on eating better and exercising consistently. I am human and sometimes need a break from counting calories and the gym. Last week, I ate whatever sounded good and took time away from the…
  • I think the program looks good. As others said, 1200 calories sounds low - I wouldn't feel satisfied. Everyone is different. I have followed programs from body building site and have seen great results with them. In my experience you are more apt to stick with something you enjoy and have greater long term results. Find a…
  • @str8bowbabe - hang in there. I do love my coffee, that would be hard. @rheddmobile - Wowza, great workout! I love lifting, glad it's coming together. @aleahurst - Wonderful work on the sugar. I love sugar, I think that would be hard for me. @nickiphillips1 - I'm so sorry that you have all of that going on. I get stressed…
