If you'll be living near an Aldi or Lidl go there for meat. Its cheaper then the other supermarkets and of decent quality. I'm in England so can't give you specific advice but i'd recommend getting a cook book (or just google recipes) online of specific dishes that you personally like and then price them up. Tesco is…

Are they any good? I think I'd end up just watching the tv and not moving if I had one of those. I do have a gym membership for when it gets really bad out, which might do the same job. I just find since I discovered outside running, the treadmill bores me somewhat (unless there's something really good to watch whilst i'm…

Thanks for all your tips. I'm planning on buying a reflective jacket at the weekend and my routes are all in built up areas so lighting shouldn't be a problem. I guess I'll just have to man up and make sure I get out there even when I don't want to!

I'm in, after doing really well I've lost the plot the last couple of months, back on it as of yesterday though and i'd like to lose 15lb by Christmas and also get my running distance back up to 9 mile as I'm running my first half marathon at the beginning of March so need to get into serious training!

1/9 - Nothing 2/9 - 30 minutes brisk walking 3/9 - Nothing 4/9 - 40 minutes run Total: 70 minutes

I'm late starting but i'm in. Need some motivation to get back out there running

I'm losing it to look good. Simple as. There are other reasons but this is my primary goal

'Primarni' is my new best friend. H&M also do some good cheap stuff. I also find Dorothy Perkins good for work stuff and the supermarkets get some good underwear in. I'm really grateful for the British High Street, its meant i can still buy good, well fitting clothes without spending a fortune

my best mile time is 9:33, my average is around 11:00 when i go out running. Currently concentrating on distance as opposed to speed. Furthest i've run is 6.4 miles and i want to be able to run around 8 miles before i start to work on speed

Defintiely, i've still someway to go, but i think the biggest thing for me is my confidence, its gone through the roof. I'm comfortable in my own body now and I can't express how much of a difference this makes to your life. Not worrying how people perceive me, or if they are thinking 'look at that fat girl eating that'

I ran 6 miles last night. Furthest i've ever gone and i'm still alive this morning. 4 months ago i could barely run a mile

There are actually a few things even though i'm not anywhere near as unhappy with my body as i used to be Broad shoulders - I've hated my shoulders ever since i was told i had 'man shoulders' when i was a teenager. My stomach - Its the shape i hate more then anything, i've got this dent in it that always makes it look like…

1. I'm now a complete lightweight when it comes to drinking (this upsets me no end as i was famed for my drinking ability) 2. My boobs now resemble fried eggs 3. I talk to the gym instructors more often then i talk to some of my friends. 4. I have no idea what suits my new bodyshape, all the clothing styles that i used to…

1. Meeting someone who is massively into being healthy and fit. Whilst he never judged me or my weight I didn't feel good enough for him looking as I did and that affected how i was around him. 2. A friend's wedding. We all met in our late teens studying abroad and have stayed in touch although not actually seen each other…

I've tried the deep fried mars bar, snickers, twix and a toffee crisp. They sound revolting but they are a lot better then you think. Also tried the fried pizza but wasn't a fan

I love The Biggest Loser. I've just started watching the Australian version which this season is about getting a whole town to lose weight. I find it really motivating Also love supersize vs superskinny. I watch this on my phone whilst I'm doing my cardio. Fits in really well with the time I spend on the machine

Wow you all look amazing. Here's mine (I hope, I've not tried to post a picture before)

It sounds a bit stupid but I got eyed up at the gym today and for once the guy wasn't creepy in anyway (I always attract the creepy guys) Not my type at all but fairly good looking. I must be looking good if I can be checked out when I'm the sweaty mess that I am in the gym

I do this all the time. I'm not a big one for bragging but i really do have amazing legs! They are slim and toned and much to the despair of all my pear shaped friends, have no extra weight on the thighs. I keep wanting to buy really short skirts (that i'm way to old for!) just to show them off!
-
I wear spanx to work most days and on really special occasions, i actually wear two pairs of spanx. I can barely breathe but my waist and stomach looks amazing. Totally worth it!

Thanks for all your help. I'm going to start with 1800 and if i'm losing too much (aiming for 1-1.5lb per week then up it to 2000
-
Thanks, that's what I got but it sounds a lot of calories. So to lose I should eat at somewhere less then that right. Does starting at 1800 a day sound about right?

Crisps, specifically pringles or kettle chips. I can easily eat a full tub/sharing bag in one go. That said i'm also partial to a bag of walkers/tyrells/squares/wotsits....well you get the idea Oh and wine. Love wine...and gin, vodka, cider....Okay i like alcohol in general which then makes me eat more

I'd like to get down to a UK size 12 on top and 10 on bottom. Even though i'm short, I'm not a petite girl so I think i'd look strange if i was any smaller

Turkey mince makes really good meatballs. I just add cumin, chilli a bit of coriander and egg white to bind the mince. Roll into meatball shapes and fry in a tiny bit of olive oil. I have them with a basic spicy tomato sauce and courgette spaghetti topped with feta cheese (any excuse for cheese)
