  • If you meant white processed less healthy carbs, of course cutting those would be fine. If you meant all carbs, including beans, veggies and anything else that falls in carb-land, probably not going to do well in the long-long run. Carbs=energy, they are the bodies main source of fuel.
  • It all depends on what the ingredients are. If it's "regular" and has high fructose corn syrup as the 2nd ingredient. No thanks, upsets my stomach. The reason I do not drink most regular soda, hfcs makes me sick. But I have will power, so if it is diet and tastes like cardboard I won't eat it, instead eat the real deal and…
  • Cholesterol is easily avoidable, but that doesn't mean you won't naturally have higher cholesterol. Your body makes it, like it or not. My husband was on an extremely strict low cholesterol diet for months "just to see" if his numbers would get in normal range, I cooked his foods, otherwise he ate vegetables. it was still…
  • milk and an iron pill spinach with some olive oil
  • Ok, take the "your" and change it to "a". I was replying to her concern, not calling her a banana/ruler.
  • I only eat foods that are as close as they are from coming from the ground or right off the animal, if that makes sense. I would not eat an enchilada or some casserole dealy. I would eat veggies, whole, plain ones. I would eat some ham, maybe. I would eat some baked, whatever.
  • I assume you mean- how do you get your banana/ruler shape to turn into an hourglass? Answer- you can't without surgery. I have the ruler shape/boyish/banana/straightish. 1. Become content with your shape. 2. improve what you can. (Bigger butt muscle, maybe work on shoulders) 3. don't get caught up in what makes a female…
  • 3 days, dumbbells only http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/dumbbell-only-home-or-gym-fullbody-workout.html or like previous poster said, go to bodybuilding.com, use the search (you do not have to be a member) and put in dumbbell exercises or dumbbell workouts. My only suggestion is to invest in a little heavier…
  • add a kiwi to keep the green going, that or pineapple like previous poster said.
  • Mash the mangoes and make frozen mango pops

  • I guess I was wrong about myself. My bad. I have 3 kids and they are terribly heavy when I try to run outside with them strapped to my back. Somedays in the summer time it gets to 115, I have only heard that it can be dangerous out there. So I run on the treadmill. I ran a couple races, but I guess that doesn't count…
  • 1/2 a Tastykake cinn. roll. For the kids, I was testing, makin sure it wasn't "bad".
  • I buy a few of those tuna/cracker deals at the grocery store for those days that I just do NOT want to fix stuff. I know it isn't the best thing, but they do have a lighter version, at least there is some protein in there. I also am one that buys the protein bars and will take one when I am lazy. Otherwise, not a lot to…
  • Not enough veggies. Probably not enough protein also, loaded up on white carbs all day every day.
  • Brown sugah/cinn. is the go to flavor in our house for 3/5. 1/5 prefer cookies and cream. 1/5 dislike most, will eat the occasional cake batter sprinkly thing. Otherwise, not the taste I prefer. NOW I am interested.

  • Sorry, late again. I can get a decent read when I am walking as long as I am keeping my hand fairly steady. Once I am moving around too much it comes back completely wrong.
  • Second this. plus the weights, check 2nd hand sporting goods places like Play it again.
  • THIS! I got my first pair of Adrenaline's 3 years ago, on sale end of season, paid about $90. I then found them online bought 2x again, last time I paid $60 shipped. (I am a good bargain shopper too) What others have said though, get fitted at a shop. You could find the shoe you like there, then find them online (make sure…
  • I have it and use it. It is a bit touchy to use when you are in motion, so you have to pause whatever you are doing. It seems fairly accurate and a nice little app. I have been able to get a better idea of my resting HR.
  • Don't let it get you down Some times people actually find they have too many friends to keep up with. I have been deleted, it's ok. Maybe I was the newest. Maybe I was the least talkative. Maybe I forgot to log on for 2 months. Maybe they dislike my color choices for running wear. Whatever it is, it's ok.
  • Did you read the entire thread? The original post was lumping ALL carbs into processed junk. My point was that not all carbs are. So, I guess you were backing up my claim?
  • Nope. Processed carbs = processed junk. Carbs can be anywhere from an apple or broccoli to beans, oatmeal, honey, etc. I just ate a vegan salad that was made up of 36g. of carbs. All veggies and beans. No processed junk in it. Fuel for my work out. I am still unclear as to how a person that eats incredibly low carb, say…
  • If you're ever short, don't feel like something, etc., there are vegan protein powders that don't have soy. And lots and lots of plants have protein.
  • I think you need a 1/2 size or full size bigger shoes? Maybe better ones, not sure what you have. Maybe a wider toe area? For me I use nail polish and lots of Vanicream-cream. An occasional foot soak. GOOD flip flops with arch support or my feet-legs-back hurt and then can't run.
  • instead of mayo, use avacado
  • There cannot be a blanket 100 calorie burn for everyone. There is no way a 115 pound person is going to burn what a 350 pound person will burn doing the exact things, including those items.
  • Between 3:45 and 4:00 I get started.
