  • That's great HeatherLee16 and synacious! Stepping in the right direction! I'm down 2.8 lbs this week. Prior to that I had gained 2 lbs on a bad couple of weeks. So overall, only down 0.8 lbs. A couple steps back and a few more steps closer to my goal....thank goodness :). Now I'm 153.2 lbs. I hope to make it to 150 lbs by…
  • I've had a bad week of keeping track and little exercise except for walking the malls frantically hunting for the kids' school uniforms before summer's end. A crazy hectic week....but still not an excuse. I haven't even weighed myself this week and don't plan to after the week I've had :( ! I will start fresh NOW and weigh…
  • 6 lbs is amazing. I'm sure you'll meet your goal for next week quite easily at this rate!
  • Thx for everyone's input. I decided to go with the Charge HR since it was only $30 more than the Charge. The heart rate feature is useful to me. The Surge seems excessively priced and I wouldn't need all its features. Now I just need to figure this thing out! :)

  • That's awesome!
  • 156 lbs...down 2 lbs since last week. So far so good.
  • For lunch, why not try salad with grilled chicken that you grill the night before? I take an extra shortcut by grilling pre-grilled frozen chicken I buy at the grocery store (sun chef fire-grilled chicken). All I have to do is take about 10-15 strips right out of freezer and throw it in my wok for 5 minutes with a teaspoon…
  • Cardio: I just recently started rowing daily on my Concept2 Rowing Machine again. So far so good as I am increasing my time by one minute a day to work up 30 minutes daily. Pre-kids, I used to row at the lake at the crack of dawn 4x/ week as I absolutely enjoyed the peace, the rhythmic motion and the competitiveness. For…

  • You look more toned....looks like a big difference in 3 weeks because it's not only weight loss, but the toning too! I've ordered the 21 day fix yesterday. Let us know when you start next round. Hopefully I'll receive my order by then!

  • Weigh-in: 158.4 lbs Down almost 2 lbs from 160 lbs a week ago. This is a good week after having been on a plateau for a few weeks since I quit Jenny Craig. Though, I'm finding that having to create meal ideas for myself and different meals for my family is becoming more challenging and may be my nemesis in this journey!
  • I find that sometimes I plateau or gain around menstruation....or when I need to change my exercise routine. A surprise change helps kick out of a plateau. Plateaus are a normal part of losing weight. You WILL get past it :)
  • Maybe it is your diet? Hopefully your doctor will help you figure it out soon. Maybe a naturopath might help too? :o
  • 200/1000 :)
  • My plan: Short term - 1200 calorie diet, taking omega and vitB supplements, drinking 4 glasses of water daily plus 4 glasses of detox herbal tea, colon cleanse supplements one session per month, and just started taking Garcinia Cambogia prior to lunch and dinner to increase satiety. Might switch to a 21 day fix diet... Mid…

  • I'd like to try the 21 day fix as I'm hearing lots of positive reviews! Do you follow the meal portions only or do you also do the exercise videos they offer?

  • Short term: 8 lbs (2 lbs/wk for 4 weeks) Mid term: 25 lbs (8 lbs/mo for 3 months) Long term: 30-35 lbs to get me to a final weight of 130-135lbs by end of November (timing will work out perfectly by my birthday --not intentional!) Life long goal: maintain 130-135 lbs through healthy eating and consistent activity; try to…

  • Hi Shia, I became stuck in the stop-and-start cycle as well. I found that thinking of the end goal is sometimes discouraging, and I think that's what fuelled my inconsistent efforts in losing weight. This time around, I think of it as losing 10 lbs at a time instead of how much I need too lose in total. So far I've lost…
  • 131/1000 ...so far so good!
  • Me:1 LNS:1 It's a tie...but I plan to beat LNS this month!
  • Hi, my name is Alba from Toronto, Canada. I can relate to mumbles as I have been on MFP a while ago but never got into groups. I mainly used it for the calorie counter. That is probably why I didn't really stick to it. I'm hoping this time around, joining support groups and participating in group challenges will motivate…
  • I am committing to 1000 minutes for my first month. So far I'm at 110 minutes
  • I like this idea. I will start tonight with no snacking beyond 8:30 pm even if I have some space for extra calories for the day.
