  • Unanimous! lol. Ok, ok, I understand. I'll def continue to log them and make it an important part of my nutrition.
  • She's hit it right on the nail. I do this and it absolutely works. Some people are scared to eat back their calories but the reason it's important is because it's the fuel your body needs to keep that metabolism continually moving. And what you eat does matter when you get to eat more. We still need balance.
  • Hi Mariluce As for your question, I think MFP is more about learning how to manage your food consumption daily and making healthy eating a habit. (love peanut butter too by the way....and bread, yum) I feel like saving your points so you can indulge on a specific day wouldn't do you any good here or just in general. It's…
  • Details please! What was your daily routine? My eating habit is improving but I haven't got the exercise down yet. I would like to get an idea of the type of routine you have to see how I can work on my daily routine.
  • Love this comment. Exactly what I have learned. If you are starting off on the very heavy side, diet has to be the 1st hurdle to overcome. Once the new eating lifestyle is all set, then the exercise comes in naturally. One can lose weight from correcting a diet first and then when the pounds fall off, the energy rises and…
  • ummm you are supposed to net a certain number of calories...or are you really recommending that OP consume BELOW 1200 calories.. it is not about what you "shed" it is about the number of calories that you require to lose weight and perform basic bodily functions...[/quote] Agreed! For a long time goal this is the truth.
  • I lost 15 pounds so far Claire and so far I haven't exercised as much yet. How is it possible for me to lose that much weight? I'm not taking weight loss pills (only cause I just forget lol). I've been aiming at drinking 10-12 cups of water per day. I'm sticking to the amount of calories I'm allowed per day and I'm trying…
  • Yeah, I'm going to be doing this just so I can have ice cream lol
  • This is exactly what happens to me. I know I didn't gain 5 pounds overnight. This water retention is ridiculous.
  • Thank you for sharing your story. I'm 35 and could already see my heart rate improve since I started. I want this ticker to tick tock till the last drop lol.
  • Thank you. I Love her (Becca)! lol
  • I've been there, my pleasure. Trust me when I tell you it works.
  • I wouldn't track it either except that I'm also worried it can cause high blood pressure down then line. And ugh the bloat.
  • This is basically it. I have a lot of frozen foods (easy to cook after work) for dinner. It's so tough to eat whole foods. I'm trying to incorporate more, just hard to transition.
  • Your car can only go so far without gas. Think about it like that. Those calories are meant to be the fuel for your body to lose the weight you need to lose. If you do not eat your calories the way you should, it's just like driving your car on empty. You could only get so far before your engine gives up. Seriously, don't…
  • Seriously everyone, you all have some great ideas. Doing any of these would just make it fun to keep hitting goals.
  • Love this idea. If I put a $1.00 for every pound I lost I will match that and go on a shopping spree when I meet my goal.
  • Now that would be an amazing bracelet charm.
  • I like the paperclip idea and those come by easy too. Thanks!
  • Not for that price they charge per month
  • That would be cool if MFP would send us a special token evey time we accomplished 5/10/15 pounds etc. I meant real tokens, just to be able to have it in your hands, or wallet as a reminder of what you've accomplished once in a while. I may just do it myself with poker chips.
  • Katelyn, that def is very low for your body to function on. It basically doesn't want to let go of any weight because it thinks it needs it. That feeling of hunger is actually your body thinking it's starving and it can cause you to binge. We should actually never really feel hungry. You do need to eat just a little more.…
  • This just cracked me up lol. Not judging, I laugh cause I've done this in the past. My confession: I get angry at the food I need to eat and say to it, "stupid food. you're not ice cream". lol Also, I had to ban Nutella from my house just because it's so so good and I have no self-control around it.
  • I for sure don't post it on Facebook because to some they can notice and to others they may not, so I just don't want the critizism. And while it's nice when people in front of me notice, they're actually starting to make me a little uncomfortable. My change is becoming so drastic (in a good way) that I get the :-O…
  • I didn't think I was an emotional eater until I had an argument with the hubby a few weeks ago. It was in the midst of cooking and I wanted to binge right after and I didn't even care. Thankfully I controlled it well that day but that's when it clicked, I was an emotional eater. But I would eat when ever I got angry, not…
  • As long as your eating your calories (like I saw you were) then it's perfectly ok to lose 3 lbs in one week. If recently started, it can be water weight at first, then it does regulate after a little while. Just don't freak out when it does regulate. We can kind of get used to seeing those great high numbers then panic…
  • I'm 5'7 and have a bigger frame. My goal is 150, however, I would be completely ok if I stood at 170 as long as it's more muscle mass than fat. I need some meat on my bones for the hubby.
  • I thought I had to give up bread but I just can't and I won't. I did however switch from regular white bread to wheat bread and in moderation and I haven't missed it much. I also thought I had to give up soda but with eating better I haven't even really wanted soda the way I used to. If I get a craving, i budget it in, but…
  • Yes! I thought I had to starve too in the beginning and went to bed hungry many nights. But I learned the trick to that is workout and you get to eat those calories back and wala, more food for you. I promise it works. I'm proof it does. And I no longer go to bed hungry.
