  • I use to put it in my bra as it tucked in nicely in there but just heard that can give you cancer so thankfully i wear scrubs and it goes in my scrub pocket, so no direct contact with the skin. It could all be bogus but the stories I heard were enough to deter me from continuing to carry it like that. When i don't have the…
  • Same here. I only track it when it goes down. I won't track it if it climbs a little due to our female bodies gaining water weight due to you know what. I check it every few days. It used to be on Thursday mornings after bathroom use, before getting dressed but then I hit a plateau and got discouraged so now i track when i…
  • Do you try doing them throughout the commercials? Just to not feel bad?
  • lol that just made my morning.
  • CONFESSION: I think there are such things as stupid questions. And whoever started that trend probably had a lot of them. CONFESSION2: I hate the phrase, "You can't have your cake and eat it too."....Why the heck not?!. Whats the point of having cake and not eating it? That one just annoys the heck out of me. Don't give me…
  • First off, i thought the first pic was the current pic and thought wow she looks great. then I realized there was a 2nd pic and that was the current one and i thought, wow what a difference, she still looks great lol. Great job! You can definitely tell the work you put in.
  • I'm in. I have a long road ahead of me and need all the support I can get. There are times I may stay quiet and those are the times I probably need to be checked to see if I'm still hanging on. Those quiet times are the times something may be going on and I need a Blizzard from Dairy Queen so def feel free to drop a hello,…
  • Wow amazing! Being that it's alot of weight in a short amount of time, do you have any issues with your skin? I know everyone is different. What's your daily routine?
  • Ignorant of me but I never thought people to use MFP to gain weight. Well, being on the opposite end of this, I have lots of experience with gaining weight. Milkshakes, ice cream, doughnuts, bread, burgers. For healthier options but still calorie whopping items: peanut butter (good fats, lots of cals in each table spoon),…
  • lol i said the same thing. Friends that eat ice cream are the best.
  • lol, you cracked me up. Sounds like my kind of friend. If you're into having a friend who's got a long road ahead of her so she must incorporate an ice cream cone here and there then i'm your girl. Congrats on being on MFP for 15 days. Every day is a total triumph and some days are easier than others. I think building…
  • There should be an lol button so i could press it.
  • lol, which I had your xray vision.
  • I know everyone keeps saying that you can still lose weight drinking diet soda, and that is true, but there's something more important to that than losing weight. It's the fact that it messes with your kidneys over time. All that sodium is really bad for your kidneys to process and for your heart. I found this link online…
  • I highly agree. 1st that fake sugar they put in it is horrible for you. But most importantly, the sodium they use to flavor it is so bad for your heart and causes you to swell. That's what causes water retention, and 'causes your kidneys to over work because it's something that's not natural for us. Water would be your…
  • I'm down. I have more to lose than 70 and am down 34 lbs so far.
  • Well, I have a dilemma now because I recently got a new bluetooth scale that records my weight, fat percentage, muscle and so on and that's new to me to see all that. Since it does that, I'm going to be recording myself daily being that sometimes I give in to some cravings so I need to monitor that and stay in check, and…
  • I think I'm going to check mine every morning too just to see where I stand before my official weigh ins.
  • This is an interesting reason to do this.
  • lol that's why i eat late. I get home from work at 4:45p but don't go to bed till 12:00a. If i ate dinner too early I would end up eating more. The snacks are great for in between meals. 10-11pm is ok since you go to be late anyway. I believe the body takes about 2 hours to digest the food so should let it digest before…
  • Exactly this! Boundaries are important to success.
  • Are they already at their goal weights? 'cause if so then it doesn't matter what they say, (not sorry to say). Drives me crazy when people tell me how to eat my calories when I've already figured out the formula for myself and they're either at goal weight or aren't even trying for themselves. This is a lifetime process…
  • lol, well if i must be honest. I have at least 3 snacks a day in between my meals. And by snacks I mean, baby carrots, yogurt, or fruits. And once in a while I'll treat myself to an ice cream cone from McDonalds. I usually eat breakfast around 8:30-9a, snack like at 10:30a, lunch at 12:30p, snack at 3p, (i eat dinner late)…
  • I love it. It motivates me to keep pushing by trying to get those achievements it has. I would love it if they would add more to strive for (not that i've hit everyone of them yet). Trying to fill the rings has kept me moving to meet those goals. I'm sure the steps are probably higher than what one does but that's ok, you…
  • Ouch, thats really harsh. I love to watch this show because it encourages me to get up and move, stay focused, count my calories. I've been doing good so far and watching this show just shows me to keep pushing and trying because I don't ever want to get to that point and that it is possible to become like these people if…
  • The impression i'm getting here is that when people hear the word breakfast, they think it has to be a full meal. It can be as simple as eating an apple or a banana in the morning. It's fuel for the brain. We can function without it but as for me, i'm so much more alert when i have breakfast.
  • It's so important for me. It regulates my sugar levels, keeps my pressure down, gives me energy. This is even if i'm not hungry. You can easily have 1 egg, 1 toast or splurge on 2. Or 1 slice of toast with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. Just enough to give you energy and your body fuel without eating too much and eating…
  • Hi Gimarie! Congratulations. You will be surprised at how much weight you will lose by just focusing on your diet alone at first. The excersice will come natural when you gain more energy. My advice would be to try to eat all your calories allowed to you. Focus on low sodium so your bloat and inflammation in the body…
