Bah sorry just read the whole thread, didn't realize there was a page 2. Sigh. Anyhow, again, I think it's expectations. Don't put too much expectations on getting to know someone. If you have been living alone and he's been living alone for some time, it is a real adjustment to start thinking in terms of another person.…

Oh boy I can relate to the whole putting on weight to keep people away comment. Yes, it's going to be quite scary. I've been married 30 years and I'm not sure what I'd do if I had to think about dating. You've obviously found some common ground chatting on line. Don't push expectations on the first meeting. People often…

Welcome, yes I have a real problem with conveniently forgetting what I've eaten in a days time. This site does help you keep on track if you are religious about entering your food intake and exercise. If nothing else, I've begun to understand, through logging food, what is really high in calories and low in other stuff…

Ohhh congratulations on the baby! I'm excited for you. It's been over 20 years since there's been a baby in the house. Sigh. You know, when it's been that long you forget the sleepless nights, the diapers, etc. :) Good luck with your dieting. Tim

Well, it was my birthday first off. Then lots of stress at work. Well, I fell so far off the wagon ... I had wayyyyy too much food, went almost 1000 calories of my daily limit. Didn't exercise. I'm feeling like I need to kick myself in the *kitten* good and hard. My sons took me to a hockey game for my birthday. Slices of…

The most danger in this situation that I can see is that you could easily get dehydrated. You could go without a food a bit but not fluids. If this continues for a few days I would definitely consider urgent care to make sure something else isn't going on. I mean if you can't keep anything down, including liquids and you…

Oh I soooo know that feeling. Two years ago I was swimming every week, 3 times a week, hard for 30 to 45 mins. I was 75 lbs lighter and much healthier. Well, today, well ... sigh. So I'm determined to try and at least lose some weight and get myself back in the pool. Tim

Heh I have a couple paper bags in the closet. This bag is this waist size, years ago. This bag is a slighter larger waist size, a year or so ago, this bag is the next waist size, 6 months ago. :) I have cloths I would not have worn for years if I can lose some weight. But this is better. I think buying new is much more…

The only thing that would be bad is if you felt so guilty that you decided I've screwed up and I give up. Our brains are amazing things. When we are trying to do something like this our brain will attempt to sabotage our efforts, expect it. For me the key is to keep eating foods I like that are reasonable and healthy.…

I have just found this site myself. I'm on a quest to shed a few pounds. So far I've found this site to be very helpful. Especially in the area of watching what I eat. I'm a bad one for snacking and conveniently forgetting what I ate. :) Tim

I think what matters most is that you don't get a distorted view of your body and begin to obsess over calories. But there is nothing wrong with knowing the number of calories you put in your body. I'm terrible at counting calories and just using this site a few days I've found that many things I thought were "OK"…

OMG that was hilarious! I can SOOOO relate to that.

HAHA yeah they just hit across the street at blockbuster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PjHzlkCSyE I just had to buy some, they are so cute when selling them how can I resist! I should get in the habit of dropping some money in the container and saying I don't need the cookies but here's my money to support you. Sigh.…
