I do just that... wake up at 4:30. I am at the gym by 5:30 and workout for an hour or hour and half. 6 days a week. I am amorning person so it works for me. I am in bed by 10PM latest every night.

Must depend on her weight too. I am 140 pound, 5'3". I burn.about 400 calories average on a 5k run. On a hot day I might burn a few more.

Running is more effort than walking. I run 5k in shorter time than when I walk. Hence, more effort. More effort = More calories.

My alarm goes off at 4:30 am every day. Unless I am sick or its a rest day, I am at the gym by 5:30. Sleep early and drink.plenty of water after you wake up. It helps really wake you up.

I have Brooks Glycerin. They are awesome for running outdoors and HIIT Runs on treadmill. Really absorb shocks well. They are terrible for spinning. Too heavy and create a drag.

My BMR is 1340. 1200 would kill me (well not literally). I have calories set to 1300 on MFP. I almost always eat back some or all of my workoit calories.

True. I was pregnant with twins and was told yo add only 500calories more yo my diet in the 3rd trimester. I only gained about 20pounds and 11 pounds of that was pure babies.

Up to 500-550 calories running outside at average 5mph. I have last 20 pounds to lose. Calories spent is much lower now.

Per my HRM I burnt 959 calories today from 112 minutes of spin + running. Its possible.

THANK YOU. I have experienced that frustration when I was told that by Asian they only meant the Chinese and the Japanese. The rest of us from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka etc are from an yet unnamed continent. To answer OP, in India we ate tons of rice but we also walked everywhere. Focus on workouts that build quads (acceleration) and hams (decelaration. Squats helped me with my HIIT Runs. Lunges will help too. Leg presses and kick backs are great too.

Actually 6 meals s day did help with insulting balance which in turn helps control carb cravings.

I took up running in May. I am a non runner so like you there was always a struggle between my head and heart. The struggle has stopped since I found WHERE I love running. Find your sweet running spot/ location. You will actually start enjoying the run.
