This is so very mini to some, but huge for me! I want to lose 1 lb by Christmas. Here's why. I always get to where I want to be by Thanksgiving and then I use the holiday excuse and put on 15-20 lbs by the next spring. If I can lose 1 lb by Christmas (from where I was on Thanksgiving), I feel like I have broken a very bad…

This may sound crazy, but 7 pound gain is a huge win! Especially falling off the wagon for 6 months.... I stopped logging for 8 months and gained about 30 back :( Boo! I am down to the last 8 pounds now and I am taking it slower, especially during these holidays (I love them!). You can add me if you want!

That makes sense then! And very interesting!!! Thank you!!

I thought the same thing but I am still a week away from TOM and Ovulation already happened. I track those on my fitbit. I also get "cranky" right before TOM but not usually a week before.... So maybe it's the full moon ;)

I don't believe that chickens are difficult at all. Just don't research them much....it makes them look very difficult! Feed them, water them and give them a safe area (they are loved by all predators) and chickens are a blast.

Me!!!! I raise chickens! How many??? Chicken math got me years ago ;) I also raise dwarf goats and our family raises pigs. So yes, lots of farm chores with the animals, garden, house and kids. It does help with the weight loss.

Here's an example of why using a food scale is so important. I wasn't measuring my creamer for my coffee, I have drank coffee and cream forever so what did it matter (I had weighed it in the past). This time around, no food scale for creamer but I weighed everything else. Did not lose anything for July and August. Started…

I understand the stress feeling and wanting to eat/ have a glass of wine. It is one of the big things that brought me here. Learning not to panic at the "went over today's calories" is a HUGE hurdle to overcome!! I am still learning to just leave it in that one day, move on and don't punish myself for it. Or worse, throw…

I always go by "net". Once, I hit the "total" tab by accident and almost had a panic attack! Haha! I eat majority of my exercise calories back.

So I'm a procrastinator...big time! I am helping my daughter's class have their 2nd grade Halloween party this Friday and I forgot that I needed to have a Halloween shirt to wear. Of course, the only ones left are just plain dumb or not really appropriate for a bunch of 2nd graders. And I'm very "frugal" person and didn't…

You are doing fantastic! That's how it's done, patience and time. I lose weight the exact same way. The scale won't move down for weeks (sometimes up) and then all the sudden...."buh bye" weight! I love those weeks!

We had an amazing day yesterday....my 8 year old daughter (who was born legally blind) was surprised at her school with a pair of electronic glasses that actually help her see!!!! This has been something in the works for a few months while a local foundation held fundraisers to raise the money. They cost $10,000..... So…

I'm with you! Monday weigh ins are not my friend :)
-
You are a total rockstar!!!!!!
-
You weighed yourself on two different scales is all..... I never get the same reading when using different scales. I would pick one scale and go by what that one says. Weighing yourself same time of day.

You will totally crush your goals! Can I admit that I am having elk hunting envy right now?

I was cleaning out my dresser and I found my original jeans that made me realize that I have to lose weight. They were a size 18 and I got them so that I could "have a loose pair to wear around the house". Needless to say, they fit perfect and my true size hit me. When I pulled them out yesterday and slipped them over my…

You can totally do it again! One day at a time, find an exercise that you love and will continue long term. Ex: walking is very much overlooked but great exercise :) I've found I love the elliptical! I have spent two years going up and down, but losing over 85 lbs. The best thing I have done is if i "take a break", no…

I'll add my 70 to make it 6,970!

Cadbury creme eggs....the regular size. They are the necessary evil in my life at Easter time :)

I've lost 56 lbs since August....so yeah, it's working for me :)

Bwahahahaha! I love how you think!

I rarely post, but I love reading these threads! Congradulations to you both....you on your hard work and your husbands homecoming. You look amazing! Also, thank you so much for both of your sacrifices. I believe that our soldiers and their families deserve so much and I am so grateful for you!!! Thank you again!

Thank you everyone! Congradulations! I'm so excited that I'm within "thinking" distance of maintenance :)

You get completely pumped full of fluids during surgery. Take care of yourself and rest, the water weight will go away soon!

Oh pigs love to tear up what they can!!! Fortunately they do not require much space and so we have a pig pen for them and they are confined there only :) I shudder think what would happen if they got out!
