I'm aiming for 100lbs down. I'm looking to get in the 180 range (I'm 6'1) from 290. Feel free to add me!

Nothing wrong with working out at night IF your body can handle it...Some people do better in the mornings, I do better in the evenings. I usually have a short ( 6 hours) but sounder sleep when I workout. Give it a try on a weekend and see how you handle it.

If you're not ready for Insanity, go with Turbo Fire. I absolutely LOVE it and it doesn't get boring at all. I dropped a lot of inches before seeing weight loss...but I think that goes with any fitness program.

I'd say go for it. Better to have an active kid than one sitting on a video game all day!

The HRM I'm using is a Timex T5G971 Heart Rate Monitor Watch. It does come with the chest strap. I just felt like it was a bit much. I am overweight ( nearing 300 :( ) so maybe that plays a factor as well. I'll keep logging and hope that I find some sort of balance. Thanks for the input! Edited for correct model number

Thank you for posting this. I have been getting discouraged as of late working consistently for over a month now. I keep forgetting that the scale only tells one part of the story. I wish you continued success with your workouts :)

Welcome...and it's okay if you forget to log. We all do at some point. Congrats on the baby and feel free to add me. I just got back myself :D

Run outside, run around in a circle and yell "I AM THE GREATEST". Welcome! :D

Buying healthier foods are cheaper because they can't be mass produced thus have a cheaper price. When you consider the long terms costs of bad heath vs the cost of food today, I'd rather pick up the tab now.

I'm 10000% against this. If people want to make unhealthy choices, let them. As an alteration of a saying goes: First they came for the 32oz big gulps, but I did not speak up.....Whats next? A ban on bacon because it's too salty? A ban on burgers because someone could throw fattening toppings on it? I got fat without the…

If you try to ban your "bad foods" you'll only want them more. So to answer your question, yes but in moderation.

Absolutely! I'm 27 now , but next year I'll be 27 again...just for the lulz. :D

I'd by an elliptical trainer....and a spinning bike. Takes care of both upper and lower body without having to leave home.

Funny how this topic comes up today. I just agreed to buy the challenge pack through a long time friend. I figured, with the amount I spend out trying to 'eat healthy" this comes out a lot cheaper. I have no idea how this will work for me, or even if it will do anything but make me upset. but you'll never know until you…

Way to go!

This is an unfortunate story but I will say that it's made me realize something that hadn't crossed my mind. I don't know if I'll ever reach my goal weight but I do know that my attitude about food and a healthier lifestyle is evolving. I used to have the whole food is my comfort attitude as well but now, its not so much.…

Way to go! Keep up the good work.
