  • the only fruits i usually have are apples or bananas. i like to chose fruits instead of junk on my breaks...but like you stated, im almost beter off, with my weight, to have a cookie instead! its frustrating!
  • i started using this site, weighing in at 151lbs, now i am 128. i weigh every day and every night before bed...some may call this obsessive...i call it staying on track. it helps me figure out what foods cause "water weight", how my "cheat day" effects weight..etc. i think whatever works for you if what is best. i myself…

  • i was finding myself upset also, because i love fruits, and along with fruit comes the dreaded sugar! i was trying to keep track of sodium, sugar, carbs, calories, fat.... this week i have finally came to conclusion, trying to count all those numbers and worrying about seeing the negative red at the end of the day was…

  • i stay away from creamer ever since a doctor told me "that's powdered cancer youre adding to your coffee"...this was a physician at the Mayo clinic i worked with.... try adding skim milk if you need "creamer" and maybe try splenda instead of sugar. im trying to cut coffee out of my daily routine, i drink atleast 2+ POTS of…
  • Whipped vodka (tastes like whipped cream) or try the "cake" flavored vodka, i usually mix with diet 7up, light cranberry juice, or diet coke Budweiser beer the 55 calorie (tastes kinda watery though) As previously mentioned though, most beers (ex: michelob golden light and coors) both have 100+ calories, try to stay away…
  • i cut in half, scoop out seeds, place face down on cookie sheet, bake about an hour or until you can pierce the "skin" with fork. I add small amount (maybe a tablespoon) of butter, then sprinkle on parmesan cheese... spaghetti squash has a "different" taste, i have found in my family of 6, either you like it or hate it..2…
  • i did the same thing (fyi: alcohol makes you crave food..usually junk) Anyhow, i try to stay away from alcohol, just because it makes me angry the next morning due to "munching" while drinking.... i would suggest today drinking lots of water, grilled cheese is also my favorite, but the sodium will move the numbers on the…

  • sounds like a good thing to me.... i probably started at 1500 also....i was always under though, so changed it.... most important thing is to do what works for you...i'd try the 1500 for a while and shoot from there..
  • im also 5'7 1/2"..when i started on here i was 150lb, ive always been at 1200cal/day, fluctuate between 1-1.5 loss per week as a goal.... i've kinda gone with what it sets me at, as far as calories...just watch sodium levels, make sure youre drinking enough water, and dont go under calories thinking you'll drop weight…

  • thanks for the idea... think i'll watch mine a bit more.... i have noticed, it doesnt matter what you eat...things are loaded with sodium. even the foods you think dont have much in them!
  • what is a "normal" sodium intake/daily? i guess MFP set mine to 2400 and i try to stay under that the best i can... i check sodium in everything now, and try to stay away from it...
