• I would never think that WLS is cheating... But you are doing super so far! You've lost so much! Does your Dr have you on a calorie deficit? Welcome to this group! I know it's a long journey so having a place where we can talk, share and struggle together is super important!

• My dr prescribed Conrave for me as well. It seemed to work well for me for the first 2 wks (no nervousness or jitters) but it was incredibly expensive so I had to stop. My highest was 317...and I'm 5'3". It's a loooong journey for us. But we're here and we're doing it. Keep checking in...this is an awesome bunch of folks…
• It's easy to lose track of "me". I'm learning that, especially as a wife and mother. I've been spending so much time looking after the happiness and betterment of others (and I do it joyfully, I love my kiddos and hubby). I feels so selfish sometimes to "work on myself". But I know for me, there's a happiness out there…
• This is an awesome group of folks, I've learned first hand. Keep logging! And I think it is awesome that you are doing aquafit. I never knew that I could sweat so much during a water class lol. Before you know it, the pounds will melt away and you will be writing to inspire others!
• Yes!! Thanks so much! We are planning on a lot of walking so I'm not terribly worried. I just am slowly recovering from serious binge eating and wanted to be accountable but still wanting to enjoy the weekend. Thanks again for the responses B)
• Welcome! Sending a friend request! I think my heaviest was 317 and 315 when I started MFP. Can you imagine what we'll look like at 150?? B)
• With kids, eating regularly can be a challenge. I'm a serious coffee drinker so I add Premier Protein to my coffee when I can't get food in. Good for you for tracking, even if it wasn't ideal. That was a huge hurdle for me. Either I wouldn't track my binges or cheats or higher calorie foods or I would give up all…
• I think I've been off and on MFP since 2013!! But I've never been consistent, until now (67 day tracking streak so far). I'm 38 and started at 315...sending a friend request!
• I'm 38 and a SAHM to a busy 2yo girl and a rocketship 4yo boy (you'd think I'd be a skinny minny chasing them around!). I started at 315. 35 lbs is awesome!! Sending a friend request!
• I know I'm super late to the party (as always) but I just wanted to join you guys and let you know that I've been following along with your stories and I'm super inspired. Name: Lisa Height: 5'3" Starting Weight Overall beginning of June 2015: 315 Starting Weight (7/1): 296.6 lbs Goal Weight (7/31): 286 lbs 7/6: 294.2…
• Hey Anna! I'm in Nampa! It's crazy because I've been logging consistently for the first time ever (been on and off MFP for years) and thought I'd check out the community board for additional ideas/help/support. I've done paleo and Whole30 but right now I'm just low carbing it since I'm nursing a hurt knee and back. Good to…
• Pretty new to group posts, but I'm super excited... Will there be a July challenge? :)
• Just sent out a bunch of invites! I'm really looking forward to competing! How do you get your steps in? Side note: Anyone have any issues with not getting an accurate read? :flowerforyou:
• See!? You guys are damn awesome. Glad I opened up the laptop tonight. Why is it so hard to get on these board via cellphone? Gah.
• Trogalicious: <<<skies part...angels sing>>> THIS is what I needed to hear tonight. THANK YOU!:flowerforyou:
• A most excellent point...I didn't think about that either!
• Robin- 2 pregnancies....rocky road, wine, sushi, bread, pasta, stress, lack of sleep, etc etc.... I watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead while I was pregnant with my second...but of course couldn't juice then or after I had the baby (nursing). I started juicing in the beginning of January for 5 days and used that to change my…
• I haven't measured...that's a good thought too! I'm not expecting "Biggest Loser" scale losses (God knows what they go through for that)... I'm just trying to find the right formula for me. I gotta make it work.
•
yes, but the exercise database on MFP is not that reliable either …at the end of the day it is just an estimate.. Maybe try only eating half of your exercise calories back..?
That's a very good idea! Hadn't thought about that.
• The exercise database on MFP. I use circuit training for Crossfit. I read that the exercise machines are pretty undependable...isn't that right?
