Are you using decaffeinated green tea? If not that's too much caffeine.

Same here! I wear my fitbit to keep track of my steps as I work on my feet all day (usually around 15,000 per day when working), then use my heart rate monitor with chest strap for swimming or cycling. I have a cheaper Bios HRM, works great, haven't had any problems with it.

On the subject of sugar substitutes, try Natvia. It's all natural and my family can't tell the difference in coffee etc. I have about half a teaspoon on my oats for breakfast with greek yoghurt and berries, it'splenty sweet. One teaspoon only has like 2 cals. :)

I've been making a few salads during the week and adding some chicken/egg/falafel to them for extra protein. My recent favourites: -beetroot, feta, brown lentil, rocket -brown rice or quinoa, capsicums, spring onion, raisins -cucumber, tomato, capsicum, olives, feta, mixed salad leaves -roast sweet potato, corn, chick…

Same definitely! I've found great gluten free pitta breads and some rolls that are pretty good, but it's just not the same! P.S. does anyone else find the smell of gluten bread is unpleasant since going GF? I find it smells kind of acidic now.

For me that was essential fatty acid deficiency, my natropath suggested eating sunflower seeds and that fixed it within a month - 1T a day. :)

Good on you for making the changes you have so far, and for being on here asking for support! It does get easier, just start with small changes. Try some fresh ready chopped stif-fry veges, chicken or meat, and some soy sauce and garlic for a quick meal. Tinned flavoured tuna and quick cup brown rice is great with some…

Wow what an amazing change, great job! How long did it take you?

I found some photos of me from a couple of years ago just last night and was horrified. i really had no idea I was that big. It makes me embarrased that everyone around me saw me that way. I'm about 25lbs lighter than that now and still not exactly happy with how I look, but so much better than before. I look forward to…

In my opinion ignore it! I have stopped tracking my sugar as I was always over from eating fruit and veg and milk in my coffee.

I've been taking prescription vitamin D and over the counter vit B&C complex and it's made a big difference to my immunity and energy levels. Doesn't do anything to your metabolism, but i've found it makes me feel better, and i've been way less sick.

Thanks for sharing, it's great to find a GF recipie that's easy and has lots of fibre. Thanks!

I've found swimming and short walks are the only thing I can do, aqua jogging (with a flotation belt) has been great. Can't do much on bad days but have tried to go for a ten minute walk at least. I find the more regularly I exercise the better my pain is, but some weeks I just can't sleep it's so bad, so exercising feels…

I love green tea with orange and jasmine flowers, and green tea with lemon and ginger is great too! I don't like straight green tea though.

That is horrible that your family said that! You deserve to be loved unconditionally and respected, whatever your weight or anything else! You'll find lots of support here. Add me if you like, and good luck with your journey to get healthier.

Hey what worked for me was trying barefoot running technique - basically landing on the balls of your feet not your heel. Feels strange at first but my goodness what a difference it has made for me and my hubby! I found an article linked on one of the forum posts.

Try zinc, worked for my mum.

It was a relief for me that it was over. My ex was abusive and very controlling, down to my hair and clothes etc. He hated blonde hair and short hair - mine was down to my hips because that's how he liked it. So I went to the hairdresser, and went blond and cut half it off! :) Felt great.
