You can do it! I was the same at my heaviest, 186! Now I'm down to 136. You got this!

I'm turning 26 next week and being fit by 30 would be amazing!

I really, really needed this. Thank you! I was consistently losing for several months then stop working out and planning because of work. I started again 2 weeks ago and found myself gaining and gaining. Two weeks isn't that long and I completely forgot. Good job!

I would say it depends on the relationship. My husband has never told me I was fat, but duh, I knew I was obese. I just didn't do anything about it. I started to do something about it because my family has a long history of heart disease, and I don't want major health issues so young. I'm really glad my husband didn't say…

I lost 40 pounds working out at night and there were no problems. I've switched habits since then because my new job leaves me absolutely exhausted at the end of the day, so I do mornings.

"I do! I have some DVD's that have some weight lifting qualities, but I don't count reps so I consider them cardio. I use my HRM with my DVD's and then add them as "new". That way I enter my duration and calories." This is what I do as well.

Feel free to add! I'm 5'4" and currently 140-142 (depends on the day). When I started MFP I was 186. I'm looking to be 130, or at least a lower BF percentage.

I've lost 39 pounds and no one has said anything yet. Well, my husband, but of course he would notice *wink*. I'm very short about about 12 pounds from my goal...so maybe I hide it well?

I like you.

In for reading later. I find this interesting because I found a thread this week about women in their 40s who had no trouble losing weight. I'm 24 and I'm glad most people can lose weight easily in their 20s, but I never could until now. I've tried in the past, but unsuccessfully. This is the first time I've made a plan…

Hmmm, I have to respectfully disagree. Cooking has never been a pain in the *kitten* for me and I always find it rewarding. I get to eat yummy food! A lot tastier than the store or Micky D's. OP, I don't think you owe her an apology. Who told you that it was part of marriage that you MUST eat what your wife cooks and she's…

This time a thousand.

I second the Blood Music and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress nominations. As well as Phillip K.! Especially Ubik and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep? Oh and William Gibson's Neuromancer.

I'll be sure to tell my mother that she raised us horribly. Even though she was a single mother working and raising two kids (later three) so we could go to school, never be hungry, and had a warm home. Yup, the fact she let us eat Goldfish crackers was terrible!!! I was at a healthy weight when I lived at home, and now I…

This. I'm almost to my goal weight and I did not eliminate "crap." I knew tons of girls in high school that ate more than me, but guess what? They all played sports or were out at night or did tons of other things besides sitting on the computer and complaining how fat they were.

Orange is the new black.

I was going to say the same thing, too. You ate a high calorie count twice a month which mixes up the low-cal days. Most of the people I see asking for weight loss advice are the 1200 calorie people. Your success is impressive, but I bet the binging had something to do with it. If it works for you and you're healthy, go…

This. And while the not getting trashed sounds lame, your stomach will thank you. Achieving the perfect buzz can be a fine art.

This! Look ladies, you've had this thing since you were a teen...WHY DOES IT STILL MYSTIFY YOU?
-
This is exactly what I would say. There's a reason you see tons of people who exercise a lot and eat 1200-1300 calories constantly complaining on the boards about not being able to lose weight. I am 5' 3",155 pounds, eat 1600, and exercise about three times a week or less. I've been doing that since May and 31 pounds gone.…
-
This! I even eat at my TDEE on days I don't work out, still losing.
-
Something doesn't sit right. I'm 155 and I eat 1600 calories because of my TDEE. I've lost 31 pounds so far. Did you say how tall you were? I didn't see it listed.
-
Yes to the Riesling!
-
I'd say that was more than decent. Have you been adjusting your calorie intake to your weight loss and activity level? If you're still eating the calories you did 20 pounds ago, it's not going to work. Also, the weight will come off more slowly the less you have to lose.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of these posts.
-
Ha yes! Logging maybe takes up five minutes of my day...
-
I had the Egg White Delight muffin. Was pretty awesome. And a hashbrown of course!

I've never heard anyone get offended by being called skinny. What crazy world is this?

I go by the weekend rule as well.
