I’ve been vegan for nearly five years, I’ve just started logging again, I need to get back in the habit!
-
Vegan for just over 4 years here, be great to have to some vegan friends and see what everyone else is eating to get some new ideas!

Try looking up a recipe for tofu scramble. You’ll need some kala namak (also called black salt) for a good eggy flavour, you can get it in Indian supermarkets, amazon or some health food stores.

I was pescatarian for 12 years now transitioning to vegan, I have a diary open to friends so please feel free to add me. Ps anything you see labelled as cheese is vegan, I’m a big fan of violife!

If you’re going to be using MFP to log your calories and exercise then trust the number they gave you.

Surgery can result in water weight especially if you aren’t moving much. As a previous person said, stay at maintenance while you heal. You’ll heal slower if you diet. At the very least you should check with your doctor if it is safe or a good idea to diet just now.

I’m the same and it messes me up every time! Everything will be spot on and then I’ll get a cold or go on holiday and I’m back on the couch eating pizza for months. I’m consciously taking one day at a time, and just doing my best. If you focus on a day at a time it helps to take the pressure off
-
The all or nothing attitude will be your undoing my friend, try to keep going even if you’re not nailing it every time!

It’s not willpower, it’s discipline. There is a reason Nike’s slogan is “just do it”, because at the end of the day that’s what you have to do. Eat right, workout, keep picking yourself up and carry on. There’s not magic just grim determination and discipline

Heidi Powell has written a really interesting article about this https://heidipowell.net/11298/underarm-flab-frustration-the-gym-mistake-thats-keeping-you-from-sexy-arms/

With only 70 lbs as long as you lose slowly you should be fine. It tends to be either really big weight loss or sudden weight loss that leads to saggy skin. So don’t aim for more than 2lb loss a week, take regular exercise and reset your calorie goal after every 10lb loss.

A gram of protein is 4 cals, a gram of carbs is 4 cals and a gram of fat is 9 cals. It might help to bear this in mind when you are planning your food?
-
I make thick vegetable soups/stews a lot too, really filling and not too calorific. Really helpful for a satisfying lunch
-
Same, if I eat one portion I log just one. It balances out, even packaged foods aren’t perfectly accurate.
-
Ah bless you must be shattered with a new baby and trying to lose weight! Have you added the extra calories for breastfeeding?
-
Enter it as a recipe and work out how many portions it makes total, then just add the number of portions you eat to your diary

Hey Gloria, those issues were supposed to have been fixed by now so if you’re still having issues I’d contact Technical Support. In terms of calories being subtracted it sounds like you might have negative adjustments switched on.

Apparently you can but the texture goes a bit strange so you only want to use them mashed https://m.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/freezing-avocados_n_1864437?guccounter=1

Thanks for the replies! @jemhh - thanks for the link. So 0.5 cup of the flavour I had (pb cup) is 66g. So, a bit of calculator action later and I’ve had 0.568 of a cup. Yay! @seska422 good point about melting it, I’m kind of glad it wouldn’t work, I didn’t want to waste it!!

I do this too! The things that stop me really messing up are: working out first thing on weekend mornings, if I start off well I’m much less likely to eat rubbish, and also weigh in on a Monday? I weigh in Saturday morning (I know, I should take me own advice!) and it’s honestly so stupid for me because it makes me feel…

I have the same problem, those hanger things are too big!

Hi Dee, I’m on a lose/gain rollercoaster. Sending you an FR, we could all do with support!

Select hatha yoga or just stretching, that should cover it

Do it for a week. Commit for one week and see how you feel. It’s sad that you’ve failed without even trying. Give it a go and see... if you see results give it another week. I think you’re just looking at the mountain you feel you have to climb. Baby steps are a good way to start, mini goals a definitely the way forward.…

You only eat...chicken... no veg, no salad. Kind of difficult! What do you like apart from chicken?

My poop needs to work harder...how much chia do you eat to get this confident, hard working, poo?

Swimming?

You can make your own using coconut milk and a probiotic capsule - I don’t know the recipe but it’ll be out there on the internet somewhere.

I find it really hard to stay on track once the daylight hours get shorter and it’s cold outside. I love the idea of just eating at maintenance for a while and coming out in the spring no smaller or bigger than before!
