Hello,

I am seeking advice and tips on how to make a meal plan work according to my macros. Thus far I am finding it hard to get all the calories and macros as they should. Currently going through a fat lose process while adding muscle mass.

Pre log so you hit your macros

A gram of protein is 4 cals, a gram of carbs is 4 cals and a gram of fat is 9 cals. It might help to bear this in mind when you are planning your food?

    It's a process to learn.

My rule of thumb is: 400-600 grams of fruit and vegetables daily. A serving of protein and fat in every meal. Log food, study the FOOD page and see where I need to tweak.

Thus far the micro logging is helping me see what I consume throughout the day. At times I hit my micros but its hard to keep the 40,40,20 ration that I am aiming for. I am currently trying to cut fat but build muscle.

Just keep reviewing your food log, and making little tweaks here and there: Reduce some food that gives you too much of some macro you tend to go over with, and increase or add some food that helps improve one of the macros you're low on. Over time, gradually, you'll get to where you want to be.

    Best wishes!
