Hey, thanks, salembambi. :)

I like Moving Comfort Fiona or Maia, depending on how much support you think you need. Maia has underwire and I default to that most of the time. They're super comfortable and built to last. (I have Ds, so bras are an issue. I'd be willing to bet the Zumba teacher must have a D or higher if she's wearing two bras.)

Pixie cut here. I never get hot, it dries quickly (both from sweat and post-shower) and is never irritating. I love it. :)

Hi Romy! I didn't know anything about how to eat healthy. I had been eating whatever I wanted, as much as I wanted, my whole life - and what I wanted was fatty, greasy food in huge quantities. So I started off with Weight Watchers to help teach me. What I took from this is: learn what a portion is; don't try diets that…

I've lost weight while on pred, but I'm also never on it for longer that 14-ish days and my condition is largely controlled with other medication so I only end up on pred 1-2 times a year. Because it makes me ravenous, I am very careful to weigh and measure all my food - stay under on sodium and drink tons and tons of…

Hi there. I started at 279 - my highest was 289 and, honestly, I'm sure I got higher than that but was never brave enough to get on a scale - but, through Weight Watchers (60lbs) and then MFP (50lbs) I am now 170. I was morbidly obese my whole memory, from puberty on, and never thought it was possible for me to lose any…

Congrats on the upcoming top surgery! I would say that having support - making friends/being active in weight loss forums - has helped keep me grounded and away from disordered eating.

I can't live without mine!

Just commenting on the bread choices - the 6" flatbread is 280 calories, while the wheat is 270, so they're pretty much the same in that regard. Lean protein, like chicken breast, is always going to be a more sound choice (whether you're focusing on macros or calories) than pizza toppings.

Probably 40-50lbs. I didn't notice really until 50-60lbs.

I had an injury to my back at work. One of the first things I was told by worker's comp was NOT to contact a chiropractor. I saw an orthopedic doc who sent me to PT, which helped a great, great deal (as did losing weight.) I couldn't recommend PT enough. Because so many of the chiropractors in my area have ads for HCG (or…

Moving Comfort Maia is the BEST - it is super comfortable, it will keep the girls separate and stop bouncing. I love it for running. If you don't like the underwire, then you want their Fiona bra.

Make smaller goals and celebrate them (not with food, of course, but as real accomplishments.) 10% lost, 15% lost. Breaking it up into smaller goals help me to not feel overwhelmed with how much I had/have to lose.

I eat 1200 calories and 1/2-ish of my exercise calories back. I drink 64+ oz of water daily, and avoid white bread/rice but otherwise, stay under whatever carb limits MFP sets for me.

If you want to see your calorie burn for classes, you don't want the FitBit. I love my FitBit, but it is only good for tracking walking/running exercise, and that's it. It does sync to MFP and it does give me goals and limitations - I can see my overall calorie burn vs what I've eaten so I can stay on track to lose Xlbs a…

I don't think that the "majority" of the "human population" - or, as actually pertains to this, the American people - think that homosexuality is a "sin." He was absolutely free to express whatever opinions he might have on the matter. However, because he is a public figure from a television show, what he chooses to voice…

FitBit Flex is only going to log calories burned based on steps - for the other exercises, if you log them in MFP (I take off my Flex and do, for instance, 30DS), then it will update your calorie burn on Fitbit. So, in this way, it's not going to be as accurate as you want it to be unless you log separately.

It took me a little over 50 lbs before I lost a single size - and even then, *I* couldn't tell any difference. My advice is to take some photos of yourself and stay committed. The numbers on the scale are doing down, so you are losing. Stay completely committed and, after 8 or 12 weeks, take another photo of yourself and…

If your exercise is mainly walking, then the FitBit is an excellent option - it counts steps and tracks your progress in steps, distance, calories burned but doesn't do more complicated things like track your heart rate, etc. I have the Flex and I love it. It really helps keep me active and syncs with MFP. Edit: No, the…
