I joined MFP on August 1, 2020. I just ran across this page. I am determined at 64 to lose 30lbs. I read most of this thread and I’m excited.

To add your weigh loss, go to the home page/profile/ complete the "my progress" section. Than it will ask you to "Add to your site" which you select to add it.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I too am starting over TODAY. I came to this site last year and lost 25 lbs, in four months. Than something happen on my job and i was so disappointed that I stopped logging in, stopped eating right, and basically just gave up. I was so depressed and have gained all the weigh back plus some.…

I too am restarting, I lost 25 lbs using MFP before but I got derailed in Oct 2012. Since then I gained about 15 lbsof that back. I have decided to start juicing just to give me a jumpstart. Good Luck and together we can do this.

Yep, i am resarting also. Best of luck to you. Your story sounds a lot like mines, this sitting on your butt all day is for the birds. Now I walk for my 15 minute break.

Welcome Cynthia, he's right 500 calories is too low, but as you read other forums you will understand the correct way to lose unwanted fat and pounds. MFP has great resources; I wish you much success.

When you are first starting out, you must start slow. NO, it will not always hurt, every day you will get stronger and stronger. When I first started, I walked a pole (light pole) and ran a pole. That was in May of this year. Now I can run laps 4, 8, and 12 of a 3-mile walk without stopping. I love it!!!!! Good luck and…

1/2 cup oatmeal whole wheat with/ 1 small box of raisings, 1/4c. walnuts, a sprinkle of cinnamon 1 c of coffe with 2 packets of truvia and 2 tsp of halzenut creamer. This usually last for about two hours and then I will eat a celery and natural PB snack. T2 diabetic for 4 years.

I am so sorry about your cousin. But yes, give the old fashion way a try first. The key from what I hear is patience. It will probably take at least 2 years before you are content with your results. But you can do this. I have seen that show on TV where in one year people have lost amazing weight. Just give yourself time…

I wish had done that when I was Borderline, but I crossed over to type 2 dibetes. I hate all this medication; my doctor said if I lose 30lbs I can get off all meds, so here I am trying to lose 30lbs in 3 months.
