  • I watched Beverely Callard once explaining that you pull a gurn similar to "Blakey" on "On the buses" and that helped prevent turkey neck!

  • Hi, I'm 46 and have been on the site a year or so, but dip in and out depending on how motivated I am - so I could certainly do with some friends to help motivate and to encourage - please feel free to add me :)
  • Do you fast on 2 consecutive days per week? Be interested to follow your progress - I saw the programme (or a programme.....) and remember thinking it would be good and have lots of health benefits. I looked up the Genesis programme but didn't fancy the rigidity- I hate being told what to eat and what not to eat - I seem…
  • Quaker oat so simple porridge ,,,preferably the sultana, raisin and cranberry flavour, with semi skimmed milk and a cup of coffee....or 2, although I am trying to reduce the coffee, as I want to try to flatten my tummy a bit. I have a cookbook also that recommends a mixture of oats, pecans, flax oil, honey lemon and…
  • I get late night munchies too. I try to avoid alcohol (as it makes them worse, and my willpower non existant) I will have a hot chocolate (one of the diet ones - 40ish cals) - tends to fill me up - or diet coke, although that tends to keep me up back and forth to the loo at night so not the best.
  • Bit off the topic title I know...but if you have a nintendo Just dance and Zumba are good fun and get you really sweating without thinking you are actually doing an exercise routine ?

  • Wow ...it would be great for there to be a list by calories, as sort of a reminder ;) Unfortunately, I am in rural Cumbria and there's nothing like that.....in fact I rate it as a sucess when I manage not to have a few drinks and then get tempted by the food board!! I think the idea of diet mixers and high proof spirits is…

  • My exercise is mainly walking with my dogs - and I bought some reebok rainwalker trainers on the sale at the factory outlet - I absolutely love them and they are so comfy - they are also black, so the mud doesn't show so much ( I am in the cumbrian lakes!) and they have a protective coating so don't get wet so…

  • Personally, I'd go for the wii fit ....it will measure you, motivate you and give you lovely stuff to do inside when the weather is rubbish
  • Hi, As a UK user of MFP, I can't imagine you will have much problem. Most of the main stuff is on MPF - and eating out will bring you smaller portions...so easier to be aware. Try subway too, for fresh stuff that is easy to calculate and listed on MPF. Enjoy your trip :))
  • Well done you !! I will try to hold that lovely quote in my head :)

  • I am glad to see mine reducing a little bit ...I am a UK 34G and have noticed my bras being somewhat empty on the cup ! Will wait until I lose some more before getting fitted again though.. I have a treadmill and power walk - would love to jog but I feel I really don't have the anatomy for it at present..... Will try some…
  • I have been feeling really tired too...but I haven't been taking the vitamins supplements...think perhaps I should...maybe it's when our bodies are pulling on reserves for calories that we experience this??
  • I like white fish but not other seafoods. On the other hand, I HATE lettuce - and after many years of trying to force myself to eat it I have given up...I can lose weight and be healthy without having to put up with lettuce leaves...and I'm sure you can survive and do well without fish....plenty of other yummies to go in…
