Hello to you too! I'm also a WW refugee. It worked for me when I could find a leader and a group that was a good fit for me, but it was expensive and I hated all the waiting in line. This is working well for me so far, and I hope it does for you too.

Zoloft is very bad for weight gain; avoid it like the plague! I'm on Celexa now, and it doesn't seem to cause such problems. A friend told me Efflexor made her lose weight, which sounds like a good thing, but it also killed her libido, which is not. Be sure you discuss any changes in your meds or dosage with your doctor.…

I like the Adidas MiCoach Zone. It has a chest strap and a wristband with lights that show different colors to show you what zone you're working in. Very simple and easy to use. It's been discontinued, but it can still be found. I got mine on amazon.com.

2 hour bike ride, 24 miles @ 12.4 mph; about 1500 calories. 3706 calories burned over the week. Ready for next week's challenge.
-
No exercise today, but I did finish the day below my goal for calories. I'm planning on a bike ride for Sunday, and I'll get a chance to try out a new heart rate monitor I just got.
-
Breaktrhough! I'm past my 1800 calories burned for the week! 2247 calories as of today, and I may be able to manage some exercise during the weekend as well. AND... I am finally seeing some progress while standing on the scale. I was 202 lbs. when I started coming back to MFP in earnest, and I'm down to 199. As I mentioned…

No gym today, but I will take a spin class tomorrow. I should break 1800 by then, and maybe get past it the rest of the week. I had a big salad for lunch, and I doubt I'll be hungry again anytime soon. Kind of an "off" day in all regards, but tomorrow should be better.

I made it to the gym! 40-minute spin class (the class is 45 minutes, but I was late) and a killer 15-minute abs workout after that. 818 calories burned, according to MFP! No progress on the scale yet, but that'll come soon.

Brilliant! Congrats!

[/quote] No sweat <slapping knee, cracking myself up>. Groan! God will get you for that, Dee!

Made it to spin class, where I did some major sweating. MFP thinks I burned 718 calories, and who am I to argue? There's an old-fashioned scale in the men's locker room, the kind with large and small blocks you move and adjust to make the needle balance to show your weight. Usually I set the big block at 150 lbs and move…

I did not manage to "move it" yesterday (Mon., 5/2/11) but I did finish the day with 162 calories unused. Today I will make it to the gym and take spin class.

Thank goodness I'm too old for this!

Good morning, and happy May! Let's get this party started! I'm Steve, and I seem to have returned to MFP at exactly the right moment. I expect to make some serious progress this month. I am motivated, and now that I'm in this challenge, I am accountable to 19 other people besides myself, and there is no way i am going to…

2 hour bike ride today. MFP credits me with 1459 calories for that! I am NOT going to have all of that for dinner!
-
Thanks for letting me, and 5 other latecomers join this group. I appreciate your extending yourself to include us. I'm pumped, and ready to do soe serious work here. Steve

Sounds good to me. Is there still room? If so, count me in! Steve

I THINK I understand what that means: your weight stays the same, but you make progress in inches, clothing size, etc. Thanks for enlightening me, and congrats again.
-
Congrats on your progress. I feel a little out-of-the-loop; what does NSV stand for?
-
Raven Your meals look good, and I don't see a problem. If you have enough energy to run 5K on what you have for breakfast, leave it alone.

This site won't let you say *****? WTF!

That wasn't *****y at all! Just very realistic. Good for you! I hope to emulate your success, and I promise not to ask what your secret is. Steve

WOW! What a transformation! You are an inspiration, and you have every reason to be very proud of your accomplishment. Thanks for sharing. -- Steve

An article in the NY Times business section - Thursdays they have lots of tech-oriented things - had an article about online weight aids, and they mentioned MFP. I checked it out and joined. Very smart decision!

Hi, Joy. Welcome to MFP. I'm new here myself, 3rd day, but already I've found a lot of help and support here, and I'm sure you will too. Wishing you all the best. -- Steve
-
Is there a way to block the person who's harassing you? If there's not, you should report this person to MFP. Good for you for speaking up, and I wish you every success.
-
Welcome! I'm also new today. I'm finding the record-keeping much easier here than any of the other sites I've tried. I wish you all the best reaching your goals. -- Steve
-
Welcome to MFP, Tammy. I'm also new today. It's been very positive so far, and I'm sure you will get all the support you need here. Good luck! -- Steve
-
You've come to the right place. I also joined today, and it's been a very positive experience so far. I wish you all the same, and more.

VERY impressive progress! Congrats, and keep it up! -- Steve
