Wow - well done. Thank you for posting this - I am 62 and had all but given up trying. But if you can do this at 75 surely I can do it too. You have inspired me to start again as of today and see if I can shift some lbs and more importantly keep them off!

Agree with most of the above. Main thing is to enjoy it and build up slowly but surely. Try to get out as often as you can and build up your milage. I use a gps cycle computer (garmin edge 200) to monitor my progress. I find it very motivating to see my performance improve and use it to push myself to better times etc.…

Today is my off day. I have to be "dads taxis" this evening and so don't have time to fit in a trip to the gym. So I'm chilling a bit today and will treat myself with a couple of glasses of wine. Back to it no probs tomorrow!

I have started eating Quaker "Oats So Simple" each morning after seeing another MFPer diary. I was convinced I didnt like porridge but actually I now enjoy it and it does fill you up.
