  • strength training is listed under your cardio category.....hope this helps! Good luck!
  • WHAT!!!! I agree with all of you. Curves was a great place at one time to work out and get your goals met from the support of staff, etc. It's no longer that way!! Planet Fitness here in the northeast has circuit training (30minute workout) available. So I gave up on Curves and joined Planet Fitness. I like it when you can…
  • all it does is post your wall status, if you have it set up that way. For example, I have my exercise post on facebook so that my friends on FB can cheer me on as well. You can set up the settings how you want it
  • not for nothing.....Welcome! However why should it matter where you get your support on this website? We are all here to give each other support, gay, white, black, bi, straight, oriental, latin, etc. etc. Good luck in your search!
  • i agree with all of you....water is water! It keeps you hydrated and cleanses your body without anything extra in it. Count your teas as extras for your daily intake. The more, the merrier!
  • if you are a little worried.....add an extra day for working out! as long as you are losing weight or inches, don't change it. Stick to the healthy carbs and you should be fine.

  • If you feel that strongly about soy protein......switch it to whey protein shakes. Good luck!
  • I have been suffering migranes monthly for 15 years. Been taking different meds since and right now I take Treximet and it seems to work for the moment. I drink caffeine to help with the pain on notice of it coming as well as Treximet. Caffeine does help. (Coffee, chocolate) Drink plenty of water.....extra oxygen intake.…
  • I have never heard of this story.....lmaf lolololol!!! That's how I felt when I worked with a trainer last year for 2 months. I gave up before the 3rd month....he was killing me!! Happy Friday!
  • Wow!!! Thanks so much MFP friends....! I definitely know how to store the other half now and will continue to enjoy my avocadoes with my protein shakes at least twice a week! Have a great Friday!:flowerforyou:
  • My family thinks I'm nuts always tracking my calories, etc. I am preparing myself for a lifestyle of changes with calorie counting. It's been an addiction of mine everyday as well. I love it!! It's keeping me motivated and focused on my weight goals!
  • There isn't one reason that i can think of. As long as your carb count is good for the day. Be careful with what you add to the baked potato, such as cheese or sour cream or butter and the quantity. Have fun eating it!
  • As long as you are burning calories with exercise, you can go over your calorie intake daily. Good luck!
  • i am in on this challenge as well.....! i don't focus on the scale either it's the inches i want to lose and be in shape for the summer and the rest of my life! Thanks for the challenge! CPS = 10 GPS = 8
  • i am 42 yrs old, 5'5" and 15lbs overweight right now and can't fit into my clothes. I am not buying another wardrobe and need to get back in shape. Feel free to add me as well! Good luck! Welcome!
  • Great responses, however not sure which is the best way for me. My trainer from the gym had mentioned to me that eating a piece of fruit (glucose) 30mins prior to working out is good as well as eating on an empty stomache to burn more calories! Which one is it? hmmmm?
  • bread is high in carbs as long as you keep your carb count under where MFP allows you Also, eat good carbs (whole grain, fiber, wheat) white is higher in calories. Good luck!
  • mini goals are great, however you will be too focused on your weight loss and it may drive you crazy! Focus on mini goals with dates as well within a 6month period of time! Remember that losing inches from your body is just as fantastic!! Good luck!
  • popcorn with no butter!!! haha! it only has about 130calories for a 1cup with light butter! Good luck!
  • thank you so much for those kind words of inspiration!!! I always need a boost and that was a great way for me to start off my weekend! I truly agree with everything you said. Keep focused!
  • I totally agree that stuck in a rut is good! Change your routine with food and workouts!! Congrats on your success!!
  • if you got snow in Maine, it's not too far from us in Connecticut. I believe we are getting a snow storm Monday. Figures!
  • 96 calories per 10mins shoveling snow? Wow! I didn't know that. Cool! However, everytime I shovel, I throw my lower back. I have sciatic nerve problems from having kids. haha
  • hello, add me as your friend. sounds like we may have a couple of things in common. first, i am beginning to hate snow myself. i have former in-laws that live in ohio and i will be moving to Florida this year! haha I need motivation as well! Good luck!:flowerforyou:
  • i want to know this as well. Still trying to decide on whether or not to buy an HRM thanks
  • Congrats!!! Don't give up! Find something that will work for you a lifestyle change so that you stick to it! Just an FYI, eating after 7 or 8pm is a myth. It's ok to eat something after 8pm A healthy snack or meal in a smaller portion size. I had a trainer for 3 months and he shared that with me. Think of the body builders…
  • i have done the low carb diet as well and it does work! Unfortunately for me, I love carbs so I feel deprived and fall out of the diet. I want to make something a lifestyle change for me, not just something temporary. I am eating less carbs and sticking to my calories daily and carb count that MFP gives me. I hope it helps…
  • it sounds like to me from reading what you ate today.....not enough protein either. You need to eat at least 5-6 times a day in smaller quantities. That will give you the right amount of calories, etc. Add in a couple more snacks (protein shakes are high in calories and protein) Good luck!
  • add me, add me! I need all the motivation as well! I'm here girl if you need a boost! Good luck!
  • I agree with all of you. Personally for me, I am making it a way of life. You don't feel deprived when eating calories, however you know after awhile that eating too much pizza or cookies, etc will jeopardize your maintained weight, especially if you don't always workout on a regular basis. Good luck!
