When i was 22 yrs old I was diagnosed w/ hypothyroidism. 11 yrs later - i think i've gotten used to it and can handle it. this is my first time doing it-so its new to me too! I'm also new to MFP. I try not to weigh myself more than once a week - and since i started MFP on 2/20 i have not taken new measurements. i think i will this morning though - just so i can track the difference w/ adding the 30DS to my routine.

fantastic! i'll post my starting weight tomorrow morning when i get up. this afternoon i did my first workout of the 30 day shred. it really kicked my butt!

thanks! it's kicking my butt but i'm loving it! even my daughters (ages 5.5 and 3yrs old) started doing it with me (they liked the jumping jacks!) and after a few minutes they left the living room and went back to playing! haha

i am counting it as 500 calories a day under cardio. whether or not that is correct, i don't know. i try to eat 500 calories of fruit, veggies and perhaps a glass of 100% juice to "make up" for breastfeeding. i tend to eat leftovers for lunch :) i'll reinvent them though - like throw rice and beans into a burrito. leftover plain rice becomes fried rice (egg and veggies thrown in). salad into a burrito. i also have 3 kids (5yrs, 3yrs and 6 months) but it's just me and the 2 littles during the day while DD#1 is in kindergarten.…

our daughters (ages 5.5yrs and 3yrs) LOVE asparagus. i've gotten into the habit of making 2 bunches as of late b/c they keep asking for more!!! thanks for all the suggestions! sometimes i fall into such a rut and want to change it up. i usually do a stir fry with the shrimp but wanted something different to do instead.

maybe this is silly - but why not skip "typical breakfast foods" and just eat something that more resembles lunch? or ... maybe a smoothie? you can do all sorts of smoothies w/ fruit or veggies. I do not eat/drink any dairy myself - i like doing a smoothie w/ almond or soy milk and a banana and maybe a spoon of peanut…

what are some of your down falls? i know when my daughters do not finish lunch i'm apt to eat what's left over on their plates, whether i'm hungry or not. ugh.
