You were gorgeous before, but WOW, you look amazing now!! You have killer eyes, too!! Great job!

Boiling vs baking is supposed to lower the Glycemic Index of sweet potatoes, which in turn helps keep blood sugar from spiking really high.

Your body needs fat. Lots of it. The good stuff.

If I were you, I would focus my attention on getting your sleep in order as best as you can. Then I would suggest cutting down and eventually phasing out the sugars. Maybe try a 21 day sugar detox.

Believe whatever you want from whatever source you want.

Wowwwww Your story.... oh I can relate SO well to the pain of shopping. It's even more degrading as a woman having to buy oversized, ugly men's clothes because the female stuff is never big enough. Like you, I love fashion and having my own style is very important. I LOVE that you are rocking your clothes, shoes, hair...…

That pregnant looking belly fat is a sign of a very stressed out liver. It looks like your weight loss has really helped it get back to where it belongs. Congrats on your wonderful loss. You look like a new man with tons of confidence.

I was 401 in June. No exercise other than some light walks. Eat real food, keep carbs in the 50-130 range and watch sugar. Too much exercise will stress out your adrenals. I'm in stage 3 adrenal fatigue, so walking and light lifting is as much as I get right now. Good luck to you. Don't push too hard on exercise. Focus on…

Light box from Amazon has helped a lot. Green Pasture Fermented Cod Liver Oil/Butter Oil Blend.
-
Your adrenals can't handle the stress. Light walking for now.
-
Focus as much on recovery as you will on exercise. 3x a week is enough. Adrenal burnout is no joke.

Awesome! I can't wait to get there myself. I'll be dancing in the street when it happens, so I totally feel your joy! Keep up the great work.

Love how you wrote this post! Awesome job!

Up your fat intake with high quality fats (grass fed butter, ghee, palm oil, avocado oil, nuts, avocados, fish) and get your carbs in the 50-100 range, with protein being moderate. Maybe start at 100 carbs a day or even 125 if you need to ease into it. No need to get too low. Sugar/carbs matter. Although, if you want…

I easily get 25-35g a day eating vegetables, having cacao powder and a little dark chocolate.. I rarely have fruit and don't supplement. No beans or lentils either. So it's very possible just by getting your carbs from veggies.

Eliminating gluten is not just for Celiacs. Don't eat the pre-packaged foods if they bother you.
-
Eat more!! Bump up your calories, bring down your carbs and sugar a little, get a lot of good fats... if you're over exercising - stop.

Ladies, look into taking DIM and myo inositol and/or d-chiro inositol. These have helped me a lot.

PS. I was 401 lbs on June 2nd. I'm 27 years old and diagnosed with a massive laundry list of problems. Turns out, the root cause is Lyme and several co-infections, reactivating viruses, toxic mold poisoning, vitamin deficiencies and stage 3 adrenal fatigue. There are still major hormonal imbalances and PCOS plus type 2…

Get properly tested for Lyme disease and all tick borne co-infections! Watch the film Under Our Skin on YouTube (it's free there). If you're not at the very least eating gluten free then making that change alone can drastically improve your inflammation issues. If you have underlying diseases, which I suspect you may, like…

I eat Paleo and low carb (not keto). Always up for new friends.

Get to work on your sleep. Cut out any inflammatory foods. Eat 50% healthy fats, moderate protein and around 50-100 carbs. Listen to some nutrition and life podcasts. They can be so uplifting and empowering. If logging is an obsession then maybe stop for a week and go from there. Be kind to your body. Sleep will really…

I would suspect hormonal changes and it seems like you must thinking about it too from the way you wrote your post. It would not be a bad idea to have your hormones thoroughly checked. Were hormones ever an issue in the past or is the birth control solely for birth control? Have you been on the birth control for a long…

Disregard anyone who writes off gluten free as being just for celiacs. If you're human, eliminating gluten is a good thing. There are plenty of great brands to try. Udi's makes good bread alternatives. As far as everything else goes, just start trying things. Enjoy Life is a favorite store brand of mine. Wait until you see…

Aspartame is an excitotoxin that kills brain cells. It's basically poison. Your best bet is water or tea with lemon.

There is much misinformation about Paleo in this thread. It boils down to eating the most nutrient dense foods. It's not all about how cavemen would've ate -- although that's a nice place to start when thinking about this lifestyle for beginners. AIP Paleo that eliminates nightshades as someone above mentioned is NOT…

This is my way of life. I'm not going to read the responses here, but I'm always up for Paleo/Primal/Real Food friends.

I also highly recommend getting a light box for winter months or if you can't get outdoors as often as you like. You can find light boxes on amazon. Many folks use them for Seasonal Affective Disorder. You shine the light at your body for 15-30 minutes once or twice a day to mimic sunlight. This will help raise your…

Low vitamin D is often a sign of active underlying infection. I have Lyme Disease and low D is one of the first things that happens. My level was 4 a couple years ago and I became unable to walk for a year. It packed on a lot of pounds, messed my hormones WAY up (vitamin D is a hormone and a necessary component of all…
