  • I use inserts in my daily shoes (don’t use them at the gym) and they are made for PF and are guaranteed/warrantied for life. I got them at The Good Feet Store. Your insurance may not cover them, but they are about $300/pair and again guaranteed for life. They will replace them for free if they ever break or are damaged. I…
  • I’m not 40+ but just started powerlifting to gain muscle and strength. I’ll definitely add you for support if needed.
  • You should be getting 1.5-2g of protein for every kg of weight if you are bodybuilding or powerlifting. So that’s 86-114g per day.
  • Welcome mcw2018mfp! Your core will catch up quicker than you think. Look into some Pilates core exercises. You can substitute any crunch or sit-up that you want. I do a mix to work different muscles.
  • Day 8! Sorry I fell off the grid for a few days, lots of family stuff this weekend. I managed to get all my exercises done Friday, and most on Saturday and Sunday. I didn’t have enough time to space them out enough to get everything done Saturday and Sunday. But I’m ready to hit the ground running again today. Let’s start…
  • Thank you, Elfinnyx. I was able to get in 80 today. My muscles got too overworked so they’re still healing a bit. I think form is more important for all the exercises. I’ve been doing inverted push ups on the exercise ball and I’m also surprised at how well my form has improved in the last four days. I can now pump out 25…
  • I understand that all too well. I have three cats, one which is still a kitten, and they always want to “help” me exercise.
  • Day four is here! I will admit, I didn’t get all my squats done yesterday. My quads were way too sore. But I put in a 3 mile run to help loosen the muscles up and today they feel much better when doing squats. Remember when doing squats, you want your thighs to be parallel to the floor, your knees at a 90 degree angle. Try…
  • Day three! I know my legs are sore. The squats are what’s killing me in this challenge. I hope you are all ready for 100 more of each!
  • I think you’re ahead of the curve today Elfinnyx! I’m not too far behind, but I won’t be finishing sit ups and push ups until tonight. Great job on being a go getter this morning!
  • Awesome job peppermintcaroline!
  • Good morning! Day two of the challenge. I know my legs are a little sore today, how about yours? If you are wondering how to stretch your quads, the pigeon pose works wonders for that. Get them stretched out this morning before exercising to make sure you don’t hurt yourselves. Good luck on day two! We got this!
  • My starting measurements are below. I’ve also completed my 100/100/100 for today. One day down! We got this! Thighs- R 26”, L 26.5” Arms- R 12.25”, L 12.5” Hips- 45” Chest- 37” Waist- 34.25”
  • Thank you and to all other posters. I will try on more styles to see if their cups aren't as big. I will also try looking at h2owear,com. Thanks again!
  • I know the length of my torso seems wrong at first glance. You measure your torso by starting at the top of your right shoulder, go down your back, up through your legs, and end at the starting point.
  • Good point from both of you. I have less back pain now that my back has muscles that are actually somewhat strong. I walk better which causes less knee pain in the long wrong. But, I also set small goals. I try to add on 5lbs when doing a workout such as leg lifts or shoulder press. It's only 5lbs but when I can do all my…
  • Snacking used to be my downfall. The reason you can't kick the snack attacks is becasue you keep feeding yourself sugar. Sugar is really bad for you. Even the natural sugars in fruits and veggies can be bad if you eat too much. Try watching your sugar intake in your diary for a week and see what has the most and try to…
  • Congratulations! Wedding planning is such an exciting time. I would wait to get your dress. I got mine just over a year before my wedding. I bought a size just barely too small to get me to work out more and then it was too big because I lost too much weight, then it was too small because I was trying to gain some weight…
  • Hi! I'm trying to get back into the swing of things too. I just started a new message board for motivation. You're welcome to join so we can motivate each other :) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1151842-motivational-group
  • I'm an emotional eater as well. I just recently left a high stress job and found I eat way less each than I was at the old job. The thing that helped me when I was emotionally eating was to have healthier snacks already prepared. I used to buy my fruits and veggies for the week each weekend when grocery shopping. I would…
  • I can now do 10 each of assisted pull ups, chin ups, and dips with only 100lbs added on! When I first started a few weeks ago, I was at about 120lbs. I can also do 10 push ups in a row (most days)!
  • I tried the Pina Colada with 1 cup coconut milk (Silk brand) and about 1 cup (150g) fresh cut pineapple that I froze and 1 scoop of MP vanilla protein powder. Super yummy. I think this is my new favorite.
  • I ate 1/4 cup egg beaters with salt, pepper, turmeric, and cayenne mixed in. I also had a banana protein shake once I got to work for my second breakfast.
  • I am hooked on banana protein shakes. They are so easy and super yummy. I slice up my bananas at the beginning of the week and then freeze them in ziploc bags split into five days worth. I use 1 cup skim milk, 1 scoop Market Pantry vanilla whey protein powder, and 1 frozen medium banana. It tastes very similar to the…
  • Milka chocolate bars might be available in the UK as they are made in Europe (I believe they are made in Sweeden). They are not low in calories, but they are separated into 24 squares (6 rows of 4 squares). I like to eat one row each night for my desert. It cures my cravings and is so yummy. I get the chocolate with…
  • The third, out of twelve, ingredients is salt. If it's that high on the list I wonder how much is actually in the product. I would prefer my high calorie peanut butter and eat it in moderation. But thank you for taking the time to post this thread and give a new idea to people who would like to try it.
  • Thank you. This is perfect. My husband and myself have our share of problems too, but we also communicate so they are never big issues. Like yours, my husband is messy but oh well, I still love him. I can seem rude, mean, saracstic somedays but he still loves me. My friend described us as a kindergarten puzzle recently.…
  • I hate my cellulite. It has spread since I gained weight. I remember when I first told my husband I hated it. He asked "what is cellulite?" I told him "it's that dimply crap I have on my butt and thighs". he replied "oh, I never knew what that was but I never cared that it's there either". I felt so good when he said that.…
  • It depends. If you want to have bacon as a regular part of your diet, go with turkey. If you only eat it every once in a while, go with real. I personally like turkey bacon, well...some brands, but I only bacon maybe once a week if that (and usually only one piece) so I choose real bacon. But, if you like the turkey…
  • My husband is wonderful. I fell off the healthy diet and exercise wagon just after we got married and went on our mini honeymoon. I ripped the only pair of jeans that fit me earlier this week and I cried. I went and told him how I was feeling and that I needed to be as strict with myself as I was before and he told me I…
