  • sleep - oh wait, are we being honest or not?
  • "I can kick your *kitten*!" (as in you can... not I/ ME can. You look tough!)
  • I slice really thin like potato chips then spray with baking spray and sprinkle with a little brown sugar and salt. Bake until they start to crisp. Flip. Sometimes I broil them for a little but you have to literally stand there and watch them as they broil because they go from good to black in seconds and I like them…
  • haha I do both. funny. Also with both my kids I made my husband wait while I was in labor so I could go shave my legs and what not before going to the hospital. He thought I was crazy.
  • I used to know a girl who would not leave the dorms when the fire alarm went off w/out stopping to put on eyeliner and mascara so people wouldn't see her w/out makeup. That's a little unhealthy. I guess for me, I hate that society says we have to have it to look nice. If it's just to feel good and look nice OK. But there's…
  • This is such a small % though, even if we're talking acne scars. It has little to do with the overall societal mandate that women are better with makeup (other than society saying if you have scars you can't be beautiful. Which is crap too.)
  • PS, I always think it's funny when they do "Stars w/out makeup" stories, but they obviously have on eyeliner and mascara and a little lip gloss and maybe a little bit of concealer. Um... that's not NO makeup. That's kinda NORMAL makeup!
  • Without (sorry it's a depressing photo, it's the only one I have avail right now w/ no makeup. I look super tired, but it's actually a really really happy day getting to hold my son after several weeks. That's me happy w/out makeup, and below is me happy with makeup (granted the red shirt one is one of the best days of my…
  • I had one day when my son was in the hospital that we got kicked out of the room so they could do put in an arterial line - a sterile procedure so no one's allowed in. I ran stairs in the parking garage for like an hour. I think I ended up doing 70 something flights (both up and down). Anyway... I was SOOOO sore for like a…
  • I hate makeup. Yes I look better with it on, but it's not fair that i can only be considered to look nice if I falsely make myself look nicer.
  • Do you like Tuna? I sometimes eat a can with lemon juice on it. You can do a couple ritz crackers crumbled on if you have carbs to spare.
  • I'm generally healthy. 5'8.5" and 165. "Need" to loose about 15 lbs. I used to swim a lot (I haven't been able to exercise in the last 10 months due to a family emergency) and do spin a lot, but stairs still kill me. I could do spin for an hour and swim a mile and a half non stop, but a flight of stairs winded me. We just…
  • I think it depends on how you view the shirt - as a badge of honor? As a way to join as a group and all dress alike in unison (like wearing pink to the CURE walk)? As a souvenir? As a memory? As a talking point for people who see you wearing it? As support for the organization or others running the race? Something to keep…
  • Agreed. On the same note, because you love them, if you decided you really wanted more, he should equally respect that despite his personal feelings about tattoos. I think that makes the difference in being a joint relationship vs submissive. Submissive implies that you don't get more because he told you you can't, not…
  • I got this in memory of my son. Plum blossoms represent strength through adversity, and cherry blossoms represent brevity of life. This is a combination of the two and fitting I think. I'm about 6 1/2 hours in and still have a lot of fill to do! It's in the flaking stage right now from the recent color fill so not the best…
  • What haven't I eaten all of in an inappropriately short time is a better question! I regularly eat a whole tray of brownies in one work day (a few times a year at least :blushing:) I ate a whole box cake in less than 24 hours. I've been through an entire pizza several times. Keep the Chips A Hoy and Oreos away! Boxes of…
  • I'd say it's some of both most likely.
  • I tend to weigh daily so I can see the fluctuations. A lot of people say to weigh in only weekly or monthly to get a better idea of a true weight, but I actually disagree with this. If you should't weigh in daily because your weight fluctuates, then how do you know that just because "it's Sunday and that's weight in day"…
  • dang you beat me to it!
  • I lost my son at 6 months in December, after 5 months in the hospital. My only advice is that though you know it's coming, it doesn't make it any easier or any better. You will grieve now, and you will grieve completely and differently again later. I'm trying to get back on track after 10 months of being out of the healthy…
  • I'm getting back on track after losing my son in December. I stress eat and I had spent 5 months in the hospital with him pity eating. Luckily I was breastfeeding so I didn't gain, but I would have packed it on otherwise. I've already gained 5+ lbs in the 3 months I haven't been breastfeeding. I'm trying to move back into…
  • "looks good" is an arbitrary opinion. There's no way an opinion can be fact / true, so no, it really isn't true. You will likely look different if different amounts of weight or tone building exercise is added in to a cardio routine, but it's stupid to say that you can't look good only doing cardio. Who's to say you don't…
  • It's misleading that it turns red if you go over, but it's just a computer program so hey go figure - the # for protein is actually a minimum goal.
  • Thanks guys. I think it's time to get back in to it. I had 5 months in the hospital going - I deserve that desert from the cafeteria, and then a couple months after we lost Gabe of just not caring what i ate and no motivation for logging - we also moved cross country just a month later, so a lot of changes, and I think…
  • good question. Maybe you should get a heart rate monitor?
  • I set it to maintain around 10 weeks in. I didn't set to "gain" since I figured I'd be going a little over on calories anyway and my body would gain what it needed to, and if I needed to eat a little more, I would. I thought if I set to "gain" that I'd force a gain and go overboard. I ended up gaining 30 lbs with my…
  • Pretty much the only reason I work out is so I can eat
  • fear of failure?
  • Plus, if you can afford it, have your metabolism rechecked down the road. If you exercise consistently (and haven't been before) you could get a higher result later. I noticed my metabolism slowed in the 6 weeks I was off for back surgery, but it picked back up again when I was active.
