  • I'm thinking about dropping to level 2 as well depending on how I do with day 2 of level 3 tonight. If it takes me a little longer to get to 100 then so-be-it.
  • Nice picture, Bamboo! I love my TREK... they make great bikes! And in case anybody is following along. I'm currently riding my 1985 Peugeot but I have a 1989 TREK 1400 as well. I feel so old ... both of my bikes are "vintage" and I can remember when I bought them new.
  • Personally I think you need to give yourself permission to binge but you also need to commit to logging everything. I found if I don't log the extras then I feel like I'm getting away with it. But if I log it then at least I am being held accountable. Now it seems that the temptation is mostly overshadowed by the fact that…
  • Kristinbee-- I'm doing real pushups... as I move forward I wish I hadn't been able to do 17 the first time because level 3 is pretty aggressive!! I'm not sure how you could go about switching to real push ups as you proceed. Maybe you should go through the program and once you get to 100 modified push ups THEN go back…
  • sorry for the double-posts, I thought I was editing.
  • Oops... double-post, sorry.
  • Sorry about the double posts.
  • Here's a site with a six-week program to get you to do 100 consecutive push ups! hundredpushups.com
  • I'll shoot for 40... the weather report makes it look like there will be at least two days that I could consider riding my bike to work. This would be my first time biking to work so I really need to motivate myself!! I know the first time is the most difficult. I'm an A-1 procrastinator, so that is my biggest obstacle.
  • Okay well I didn't get to bike as much as I would have liked because we were getting ready to go up north to my Parent's cottage for the weekend. But we did get in a beautiful 10 mile ride along a nice new path up north! Monday-6.5 miles Saturday-10 miles Oh well ... it's a start Here's a picture from our Tawas bike ride…
  • Welcome Laura! Yes MFP is a great place to get fit and lose weight!! Keep up the good work!
  • Thanks for the laugh, Tilly!! CRAPTASTIC is so fun to say and always gets a great reaction from people that hear me say it!
  • Okay Monday: 6.5 miles with a 1 and 3 year old in tow on my trusty old 1985 Peugeot
  • Oh ... one more thing Princess... if my wife catches me reading this board and sees that picture of you in your bikini then I'll be banned from this place ... if she let's me live!
  • And I see the infamous toilet paper roll too!!
  • Peej, I don't know about you but I had a serious bout of depression a few years back and I swear that NutraSweet contributed to it. If you are using that artificial sweetener you might want to stop using it and see if that helps. If money is the problem then you need to get on a written plan so you know what you need to do…
  • Christy, Look up Stevia... it is a natural sweetener. It does not cook like sugar so there are some considerations that need to be made if you are going to cook with it. But it might be worth a look. Mike

  • I used to ride a couple century rides a year back in my high school & college days. I am looking to get back into it now that my wife finally has a bike so we don't have an excuse to NOT do it. Reading your cycling challenge is making me seriously think about riding my bike to work (about an 11 mile ride) despite the heat.…
  • Honestly I think about the only time I can go to Texas Roadhouse is if I'm taking a day off MFP. I was talking to a friend about Texas Roadhouse once and how EVERYTHING is so good there and he commented "I know... I think they put crack in their food!!"
  • Mellie, Sometimes it does take a while to spark. For example, my wife and I were friends for about a year before we decided to date. The difference in our situation, however, was that we just met at school and had no initial expectation that we would date. But don't give up hope. I think the most important thing is to keep…
  • PUT DOWN THE HOT WINGS AND STEP AWAY FROM THE MICROWAVE!!!
  • I hope all goes well. If he rejects you then that is his problem!!
  • You're right. That is a GREAT driver's license picture! I thought that it a lot of times the pictures are so bad because the person taking your picture intentionally tries to distract you and catch you off guard. I mean, that does not look like a fun job so they've got to try to do something to liven it up ... I picture…
  • Nice headliner! But you really should keep your eyes on the road!!
  • I've gone to bed when I knew I wasn't going to be able to fight it... Man did I wake up hungry but hey, I could start over! LOL Really don't sweat it if you go over. As long as you come back to it you're not going to be knocked that far off track. Heck, you'd have to eat 3,500 calories to gain a pound ... so if you go over…

  • So what's the story there? You wanted a picture of the statue but you thought it wouldn't be so obvious if you took a picture of the people too? Unfortunately a little glare got in the way...
  • Okay I uploaded my required (apparently) in-car photo. Snapped it at lunch. I was a really bad boy. I think I could work out from now to midnight and I wouldn't make up for how much I ate... For those of you who like to check out the background ... if you look close you can see that my door is missing the inner…
  • Well I just didn't want to see my face staring at me every time I logged in to MFP! And I think if I had that scale I would have thrown it through the window by now ... or at least drawn something on it!!
  • Not to get too personal, but have you been regular this week? Changing eating habits can have a tendency to, ahem, cause things to get backed up ... if you know what I mean?! Also if you have been trying to eat foods that add more bulk and less calories you could be carrying around more weight in your digestive system even…
