I bought a dozen of those magnifying cards off of amazon. I put them everywhere. At least that wouldn't have to go on your face. :)

I think some things warrant measuring more than others. If you are off on lettuce - say you enter 2 cups based on an estimate, but you really ate 4 cups - you might end up with an extra 25 calories (just guessing). No one ever got really unhealthy mis-measuring lettuce. Condiments that contain high fat, sodium, etc are…

My gym does their classes in the dark. No point in destroying the awesome illusion!

When I was pregnant with my first, and feeling scared, I took a look around while I was stuck in an awful traffic jam and told myself "If this pregnancy stuff didn't work most of the time, I wouldn't be stuck in this stupid traffic jam!" I felt better about the baby and the traffic jam after that! Babies and mommies make…

I have been doing crossfit since October - love it. Sending you ladies friend requests.

I would agree - I think you really can hurt yourself if you or your trainer are not careful, but like anything - if you do it right, you won't get hurt. Can be addictive, but there are much worse addictions!

I have been doing crossfit for about 3 months now. I think it is fun. There are always new things to learn, and areas to improve yourself. I also love my new muscles! Enjoy!

Curious what the dr would say when asked how diet affects hormones?

Congratulations! Awesome job!

Yesterday, I had some plain 0% Chobani and added some canned pumpkin, agave nectar and pumpkin pie spice - Was really yummy!

Thanks! :)

Try bodyrock.tv - internet site with daily workouts (usually) - they are free, and pretty good.
-
Congratulations! Sounds like you are on the right road!

Try bodyrock.tv for some really good workouts - they are free and don't require much equipment - she usually gives alternatives for people that don't have the equipment she uses. I don't think you need to go to a gym unless it helps you stay consistent.

Here is the webmd page on potassium - I haven't been paying much attention to improving the number, but have been way under. http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/lifestyle-guide-11/supplement-guide-potassium

I don't know about wheatgrass, but kale chips are good. Google the recipe - they are almost all the same. Hope you like it!

Without seeing your diary, I don't know what you are eating, but I notice that if I eat simple carbs, I am always hungry. If I eat more almonds and veggies and whole grains, I am usually full of far fewer calories. Hope that helps. :)

Congratulations on your new baby! :) This phase won't last forever. Do your best to make it thru, and try to plant some healthy snacks around your house - maybe even some small bags of almonds or fruit in the nursury. That might encourage you to eat a bit while you are up with the little guy early in the morning. Best of…

I used to love the ones I had. I did see results fairly quickly. If it is what you have, and you like it, and feel good doing it, go for it!

Bump - saving this for later - Unfortunately, I just might need it!

Fruit or cut up raw veggies would probably be fine - I give them to my kids for their afternoon snacks at school. You might even be able to devise some kind of oil and vinegar dressing that would not need to be refrigerated for dipping.

Great job kicking the smoking habit! :)

Here are some ideas off the top of my head. Only keep healthy options around you. Go for a walk. Chew gum/ brush your teeth/ use mouthwash - these will make eating something less appealing since nothing really tastes good with toothpaste flavor. Pop some bubble wrap. Log on to MFP and read a few success stories. Best of…

Please send me a friend request if you would like - love to have and give more support!

Kids are awesome! :)

You have had really great results! As far as what to do to workout to tone and avoid gaining fat, you might check out some high intensity interval training. I have had really good results with it - the workouts are usually very short, and very intense. I get a lot of my workouts from bodyrock.tv (website) and I think they…

Stories like this are so frustrating! Let that comment roll off like water off a duck's back. You are doing great things! You know it, and she will too, as the "water" keeps coming off. Keep up the great work!

I have felt like that too when I have started working out - particularly when I change up my schedule. I think I ultimately figured it was because I was finally doing something for myself, and was guarding that. I had a lot of anxiety about anything coming up that would interrupt my plans to exercise. I didn't want…
