  • I know your pain. There are bagels and pastries here today and I want one but not as badly as I want to lose. I'm staying away and chugging my water. Keep strong!
  • I'm glad you asked this. I'm new to the program, just started on Friday. I'm eating at a deficit to lose weight too and wasn't sure I would be able to keep up with the program by doing so. Reading that people are taking it slower than the added 5 lbs every time is encouraging.
  • When I first start running for fitness/fun (although I still don't find it fun) I ran on the treadmill. It's boring and what not but I watched mindless tv while doing it. Anyways, I would run for 0.2 miles and then walk 0.2 miles. I did that for half hour to 45 minutes (or as long as I could). I would do that for a week or…
  • I agree with a previous poster and ask your doctor. But for after the baby is born I would start with the C25K program. It's very very good and gives you a basic foundation for running. I don't run with music so I'm not much help there. As for the best time of day to run, that is really up to you and your schedule. I…
  • I'm on #operationfitbride as well. I don't have as much weight to lose but I have a lot. Enough to make me feel completely overwhelmed! Feel free to add me !
  • How do you go four times a day?! I am lucky to go once a day lol. But yes that could be the reason for your weight gain. Eat some more fiber :)
  • I am engage to a man that is overweight and I love him just the same. Size doesn't matter to me because he makes me happy, loves me, and treats me right. He is working on himself because he wants to. If he stayed the size he is now I would not care. It's the person that matters.
  • I run during lunch 3-4 days a week. I bring my workout clothes to change into. Then when I come back, I wash my face, put on new deodorant, and change back into my work clothes. Works very well for me. If you are really worried about it, bring in baby wipes to freshen up. In my opinion the smell goes away fairly quickly.
  • I believe that if you think not counting your food on feed days will help you break the cycle of obsessing and sabotaging then do it. I have done 5:2 in the past and it worked. I did not do it correctly because you are supposed to eat at maintenance on the 5 days but I tried to diet as well and I don't think that worked…
  • If you don't want to buy new clothes, go to a seamstress and have them taken in. Or go to a store like Goodwill where you can find cheap clothes that will get you through until you hit your goal weight and can buy brand new clothes.
  • I'm so in. I would probably be sorted into Gryffindor or Hufflepuff so either of those houses will be great! Can't wait!!!!
  • Try not to beat yourself up about eating one chocolate. Just make sure it fits into your calories for the day. Then you won't feel so bad. Also, when you start to reach for the bad stuff, try to do something else for awhile. Maybe take your mind off the craving until you feel you can control yourself to go get that healthy…
  • First off, you should discuss these concerns with your doctor. I think these are valid concerns that should be brought up. 2nd, I'm on Zoloft currently but the lowest dose you can be perscribed (25 mg). Here has been my experience. I started taking it when my anxiety/depression was really bad two summers ago. I had a lot…
  • Try running early in the morning or later at night if your area is safe enough to do so.
  • If I'm going to be under for the week and I'm not planning on a big weekend then I would eat. Otherwise I stay hungry. Unless it is TOM then I eat. Mostly because nothing satisfies me during that week/couple of days before. Of course I regret it later because of the bloat but it's gone within a couple of days.
  • I have been on generic zoloft for about a year now with a 4 month break in there. I upped my mgs from 25 to 50 and gained 30 lbs with nothing changing. That's when I stopped for a while. I'm back on the 25 mg zoloft, feel good, and am starting to lose weight again. It's going to take awhile but you can lose weight on it…
  • I weigh in every day at roughly the same time in the morning. I only record it in here roughly once a week. I have an app on my phone where I record every day. I personally like to know how my weight changes day to day.
  • I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression and I'm currently on meds to help with them. Exercise and eating healthy helps but it doesn't completely fix things. There are days when I feel great and then there are days where no amount of exercise will help. I'm working on it and taking it day by day. These last couple…
  • Based on all your extra activites I would put you as moderately active.
  • Pooping 2 to 3 times a day may not be healthy for her. Everyone is different. Some people go multiple times a day, some people go 3 times/week. Everyone is different. OP, you need to talk to your doctor. Also, magnesium citrate will probably help as well.
  • I do this. I have a spreadsheet with three different tabs to track different things (weekly weightloss/%lost, daily weightloss, and running). I like to know that what I'm doing on a day to day basis is working. Last week was rough because the scale refused to move even though I was doing everything right. Then it moved…
  • There are some days that I feel like I just want to be done. Especially last week when the scale wasn't moving (yes, I'm one of those people who weigh daily and record it in a different app. I like to see the trend) but it finally moved. This week it's moving like crazy but I have been feeling better than the last. Last…
  • You can go on you tube and find workout videos on there. Wal mart has some pretty cheap/decent dumbbells. Or go to a second hand sports store. They should have decently prices dumbbells as well. If you have time on your lunch break and an area that is safe, go for a walk/jog then. I do that now. Run on my lunch break so I…
  • Altering your dress depends on the dress itself. If it has a lot of beading or design not very much. Maybe an inch is what I have heard. Otherwise I think i heard around 2-4 inches without a lot of design and without changing the style too much. I have gone dress shopping twice so far and found a couple that I really like…
  • My fiance and I are on the same page as far as weight loss. He will make comments about things I eat sometimes (hello chocolate cake and ice cream) but he takes the comments too when I make them towards what he is eating. We both want to get rid of the extra pounds and are both trying to make the healthy choices. We signed…
  • This. Your family may love you and think what they are saying and doing is helpful but it's not. Stop seeing them so much for awhile and just focus on you. Instead of every week go once a month. If they ask what's up tell them that you are trying to focus on yourself and don't appreciate all the comments about your weight…
  • I agree with a lot of people here that you have some aggressive goals. Not that that's a bad thing but it may be too much especially for someone who hasn't run in a very very long time. I would say set your sights on either of the goals but not both at the same time. Also instead of a marathon in a year (which can be done…
  • Try to take healthy snacks with you to your weekend events. That way when you are hungry or eating out you have a better option. And a lot of what you are "gaining" over the weekend is probably water weight. If you know where you are going over the weekend, you may be able to look up places to eat and see what their menu…
