  • It's an annoyance, not an excuse. Once you're properly medicated and have your levels regulated, you lose just like anyone else. It's just a pain getting there sometimes. Hypothyroidism is, however, a totally valid excuse for being tired all the time *yawn*.
  • Hey, Scumbag_Gil? (Did I get that right?) Do you work out both of your arms evenly? I know you're only flexing one in your pic but... *Shrug* Honest question.
  • Why point out to your son that the girls in his school are heavy?
  • Lunches have recently become and issue for me as well since I just went back to work after mat. leave and for the life of me, I can't seem to remember what I used to pack! Here's what I've been doing: Salad (spinach, strawberries, shredded cheese, cucumber, egg, dressing of choice) Sandwiches (boiled egg, cucumber and…
  • Good job!
  • When my son was about 3 months old my profile pic (of me holding him) was stolen and used to set up a fake FB account. Now I personally will not use photos of him as a profile pic or cover photo, etc. because of safety and privacy concerns. Actually, I've recently stopped posting pics of him online altogether. But, wow.…
  • Thanks! sweetnlow30, you've lost 114 lbs? That's fantastic! Congrats! Thank you, Edensienna!
  • I just posted my success thread here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1298651-my-mommy-tummy?page=1
  • I do take a daily multi vitamin as well, but I've always believed food sources to be the best way to get nutrients.
  • I'm 5'2" and was in the low to mid 120's before my pregnancy. At 9 months postpartum this is where I am: Heigh: 5'2" Weight: 133.2 Bust: 35" Waist: 30" Hips: 40" I've always carried most of my excess weight in my hips/thighs. My goal is to get to about 115-120, but I have no idea about what size that will make me.
  • That is very low for 5'7". You'd be underweight, going by BMI. I'm aiming for 115 and I'm 5 inches shorter than you with a small frame. Edited to add that when I last joined a gym, I skipped the included fitness assessment because I'd heard from so many people that's it's basically just a sales pitch.
  • Your day has come. Hi. Nice to meet you. (Or, "meat" you?)
  • In relation to the posts above with food options given... I think what I'm not getting here is that unless I'm reading this wrong, the OP wasn't even asking for help with vegan or vegetarian food options she might find at a buffet. She was just asking if she should stick to veganism that night or not. Am I wrong about…
  • I don't really understand what you're trying to do. You want to go vegan, except when it's not convenient? You're asking if people think you should eat meat when you go out for dinner at the buffet, right? But if you're not committed to veganism, what difference does it make? You stated that 7 days into veganism is too…
  • I'm not an expert, but here's what I know: Weight loss drinks (like Slim Fast, etc.) don't actually help you lose weight, they just make you control the calories you consume. You get the same weight loss results as eating healthy and counting calories, only you don't have to think about it. EXCEPT nobody can drink their…
  • Wow, I wish I could say I got back at it that soon, but my little boy is almost 8 months old! Oops!
  • Added you both :) I think support is really important. I'll be back to work full time in the spring and it just seems so hard! For now, I'm making a goal of logging my food and exercise daily except for maybe on Fridays, which are my "cheat" (within reason) day.
  • Thanks guys, it just came back on after about 5.5 hours. The fridge was only opened once and it still feels pretty cool in there, so I think (hope) it should all be ok. What a pain!
  • Because it perfectly sums up my life right now. New mom standing on a scale while caring for baby... yep.
  • I'm in the same boat! I'm hoping to lose 10 lbs initially, but would be super happy to lose an additional 5 once I get there. Baby weight is a killer. Feel free to add me if you like!
