I agree! I dont limit any foods except those that dont agree with me. I do log everything though, the good, bad, and ugly. I refuse to get into the "diet" or forbidden mindset, thats one of the things that got me to 219#.

I have been 1-3 pounds of 145 since 7 months out....13 1/2 out.

I share your struggle! Im in Metairie and Haydels and Manny Randazos king cakes are hard to pass up :-) Rule of thumb, 1" slice is 100 calories ....but I dont know anyone that stops at that !

I add tofu to all my soups to boost protein. It takes on whstever flavor you mix it with.

I gave my clothes to my sister who is also losing weight. She got 15 hefty force flex bags of stuff, some with tags still on them. It definitely pushes you out of your comfort zone. I always wore my clothes loose and wearing things with shape still scares me but I try:-)

The sleeve is an amazing tool! Yes, it takes work and time to find your sleeve groove after surgery. For the first few weeks you will continue to question yourself if you did the right thing. This is normal as well. About six weeks out everything clicked for me, the protein intake, water were where my dr wanted them to be.…

I have myself on a schedule for eating and drinking to get everything in. 16 oz liquid when I wake up...takes an hour or so to drink. Protein shake around 7. 16 oz water between 8:30-10. Protein snack at 10. Water between 10:30-1:00. Lunch around 1:30. More water from about 2-4. Dinner around 4:30. Occasional evening…

It is normal and unfortunately, they continue. I will usually stall every other week. Its frustrating but its just how your body adjusts to the rapid weight loss.

Welcome:-) Getting sleeved has been the best decision I have ever made. It is not always easy and can be frustrating when you hit the dreaded stalls, but it is still worth it. Keep us up to date with your journey:-)

I was sleeved 2 1/2 months ago. I strongly recommend easing yourself off caffeine beverages. I had a 6-8 dr. pepper 10 addiction presurgery that I did not give up. Yikes! The caffeine withdrawal headache lasted three days! The no drinking 30 min before and after I still struggle with but I can tell you from experience, do…

I am tweaking this by using Pam for browning and using chicken breast tenderloins. Also unsweetend coconut milk. Based on 10, 1 cup servings, it works out to be 322 cal, 26 g protein and 16 g carbs which is pretty healthy sounding. Making this tonight:-)

I am 57 and had gained 100 pounds over my 38 yr marriage. I gained and lost several times. The day I decided to have the sleeve, the scale hit 219....and I am 5 feet tall. The next day, an incident with my 4 yr old grandson, whom we are raising, sealed the deal for me. He took off running in Walmart and I couldnt catch…

This is one of my favorite recipes. Low fat, high protein with veggies:-) Serves 4-6. I would say 1c is a serving. 4 chicken breasts cut into chunks 1each orange, red, and yellow bell pepper cut into slices 1 medium onion, sliced 2cans of artichoke hearts, quartered 1/4-1/2c of white wine (you could use no sugar apple…

Welcome to the sleeved side! The first week is the absolute worst but it does get better. The main thing is sip, sip, sip! As far as pain goes, have you talked to your doc? I didnt have any pain but I did feel like I had been bounced around on a roller coaster. That also subsides. I was a stomach sleepr for yrs but now a…
