Thank you everyone , I look forward to investigating your suggestions :)

Your body won't go where your mind won't push it.

In most countries you have the right to ibformed consent before agreeing to any course of treatment , including medications. I'd see if it applies in your area then visit your doctor and politely remind him. Also being friendly with the nurses might help you learn the names of doctors they respect , which counts for a lot…

Southern Ontario is where it's at :)

I too encourage you too join a support group. I know most men don't like joining them, but perhaps your husband would benefit for joining a support group for heart attack survivors-it might give him solidarity as well as motivation to continue to getting healthy. I'd praise him for his quitting smoking, acknowledging how…

Any solutions? I just opened my replacement fitbit and I can't seem to disconnect my old fitbit either.

When I worked at a grocery store, I oftened grabbed microwave dinners for a quick and easy meal. My favourites were/are the lean cuisine chicken parmigiana, and the healthy steamer's beef merlot. The stouffer's veal parmigiana and michelinas cheese and macaroni taste pretty good aswell.

Thank you for the replies everyone!

Another question: prior to syncing my fitbit to mfp, I had a weight loss goal set through mfp. I notice there is also an option to enter a weight loss goal on the fit bit app. Do I use both apps or just one over the other?

I usually have oatmeal, and either yogurt or a piece of fruit for breakfast and a cup of tea and Im full for 2.5-3.5 hours or so.
-
Personally, I have instant oatmeal, a single serve yogurt and a cup of tea almost every morning and it fills me for hours. The only thing you have to do is boil a kettle and I usually use those five minutes to prepare some quick snacks for the day (varies day by day, but usually something like a banana, some almonds or…

Maybe it's because when we are heavier, our body uses up our fat stores for fuel, but as we lose weight and our fat stores, our body needs to be fueled more regularly as it can't rely on our stored energy for fuel. I'm not sure how to properly word that, I'm sure someone will come along who can say it better.

When I worked somewhere where I couldn't eat whenever I wanted, I would eat my regular meal about two hours before my shift started, and bring a small snack to eat right before punching in. I'd eat something like yogurt and fruit, or a granola bar and nuts, something small but filling to keep my mind off food until my…

You have to be assertive. Simply say something to the effect of "it's really rude when you make uninvited comments about my body. Is there a reason you are trying to hurt my feelings "? Sometimes politely "calling out" someone immediately after they say something rude is enough to embarrass them and get them to realize…

Maybe try eating 80 % of your exercise calories back instead of half?
-
After ensuring your logging everything properly,I would say get your thyroid and blood checked.

I'm lying in bed

Do you have one of those therapeutic lights? I can't recall the name right now. Do your meds need to be changed? Shovelling snow is a good way to get some exercise in, at least where I live. Can also do exercise videos :)
-
Have you gotten your thyroid checked?

When is your last meal/snack before bed? I usually have a snack (anywhere from roughly 100 to 300 or so cals, depending) an hour or so before bed.If not, I don't usually wake up in the middle of the night, but I will wake up early in the morning absolutely starving

Used to be a bookworm before college. Nowadays I'm afraid to pick up a novel because if it's good i get sucked in and ALL Ill want to do is read (ie won't use free time for school work Lol).

You don't have to eat oatmeal if you don't like it. Unless a doctors recommended it in place of something else you've been eating due to health needs?
-
This always happened to me when I was eating all my calories, but finishing them off at dinner, or only having a small amount of calories after dinner. Now I purpose to save aproximently 150-200 calories to eat anywhere from 1.5-.5 an hour before I get into bed. This helps a lot. You're eating your exercise calories right?

In your bath, use a loofah and scrub in upward circles toward your heart. I used to do this when I first started serious leg work and I'm not sure if it was just mental, but I'm 100 percent sure my brain thought my legs felt better lol.

This is something your specialist should have covered extensively with you. :S If they didn't seek a new one yesterday

I usually work out in the morning and I have to eat beforehand or else I just don't have the power to push myself as hard as I can. Usually I eat about 2 hours before I begin working out. My usual breakfasts are: oatmeal, with a banana Whole wheat toast with peanut butter and a banana on the side Hard boiled egg with…

If you're brave enough, look into teaching hospitals. Im pretty sure that's how the people on Extreme Weight Loss get them. (although you wouldn't get it 100% free obviously). Not sure if that will help you out, just trying to give you ideas

Be straight forward, but say it in a polite manner to communicate how yourself without starting a fight.Next time she makes a comment, politely interrupt her to say something to the effect " it's starting to hurt my feelings when you make comments about my weight. You're supposed to be my friend, so I am not sure why you…

I have scoliosis, so personally if my back was sore I couldnt walk comfortably I'd get to my GP asap. Actually I'd b probably do that anyway. When my back is bothering me slightly, I pay extra attention to my work while working out, and enjoy using a foam roller before and after working out. I've found it really helps…

I'd check with your doctor before using tampons regularly while not on your period.
