Echoing what other's have said - there's a lot of research on both sides, and it will never be a simple "this or that" decision. Personally, I think moderation in all aspects of life is the best course of action; I do eat animal products, but try not to go crazy on adding bacon to everything, haha. My husband and I went…

Oh gosh, you look wonderful! Great job! And I love your glasses!

Jim Carrey? Though lately it seems all I hear about is Rob Ford :frown:

Great job! You can *really* see the difference in face :) How long has this taken you?
-
Great job! And what an adorable costume idea! haha. p.s. facial hair really suits you!

Level 1, Day 4! I'm really looking forward to getting stronger (and not breathing quite so heavy during, haha) Everyone is welcome to add me as a friend as well :) I am noticing some pain in my knees today - might switch to every-other-day, and see if that helps.

I have to 'pay my dues' as it were, and suffer through the first 12-24 hours of just awful cramps (like, cold sweats, shaking, naseau, fainting), and then it's smooth sailing for the 2-3 days remaining. Because if I take any pain relievers in those first 12-24 hours, my period stops. Like, pauses until the pill wears off…

Everyone who is saying pizza. I could literally be sick full, and I would find the space to cram a slice or two in. There's just something about the combination of hot cheese and bread that makes me mental. It could be because every single 'happy' event of my childhood included pizza - birthdays, graduations,…

Great job! I also looooove your sweater! So stylish! You look like a GAP model!

I get treacherous swamp butt if I don't wear underwear, so it's thongs for me! They really aren't so bad.

I haven't had a lot of time to check it out, but I can tell this is going to be a great resource, thanks! And thanks to everyone else with their advice too :) I'm about to go on W7R3 (for the 4th time...:noway: ) and I ate lunch 2 hours ago and have just been sipping water since. So I'm thinking positive thoughts, and hope…

This is such a great thread, thanks everyone! A lot of good advice! I was wondering if anyone had any tips on preventing/dealing with stitches? I'm using C25K, on week 7, and I just CANNOT get past it due to these debilitating side stitches. I've tried going slowing, exhaling as my foot on the sore side comes down, not…

This! Weekly totals keep me sane when I do crazy things like eat 4 slices of Domino's, which I did tonight. Wooo, Friday night! :drinker:

Four ounces?! Dang girl, that's some self control! It's a solid 5 for me ;)

I don't mean this in a snotty way at all, but is there a reason you can't pack your own lunch instead of going to the food court? That way you know EXACTLY what you're eating, and you can make it as tasty as you like! And if you can't do that, places like Sobey's, etc have salad bars with boiled eggs and nuts and other…

This is a weeeiirrdd thread... OP, your profile says you work at a corrections facility. Is there a gym there you can use? (I honestly don't know if this is an outlandish suggestion, as I don't know anything about prisons). Even if you have 45 min for lunch, you could spend 15 of it run/walking on a treadmill, to help…

I'm also really struggling with this. I got a food scale for Christmas, and all it's done is make me frustrated/confused  Also, if I put a tbsp of olive oil in the pan to cook my chicken, obviously I'm eating some of that oil, but the majority is left in the pan when I remove the chicken. I still enter the tbsp of…

5'2'', with 23" thighs. I guess that's on the larger side? I like my legs, actually, but do wish they wouldn't rub together. Makes for some uncomfortable summers, haha.

I refuse to eat eggs any other way, haha. I think it's fine.

Echoing the sentiments of everyone else - GREAT JOB!! You look absolutely incredible  And those kiddos are cuuuuute! Congratulations!

Baked sweet potato, half a baked chicken breast (they are monster breasts, good grief), mixed greens with feta, kalmata olives, tomato, and capers. Mmm, salty, haha!

I refuse to spend money on clothes I'm going to be unconscious in, so it's naked sleeping me well as well.

This gets me too! I found using a neck gaiter for the first bit really helps. Then, once I've got a bit of distance covered, I can lower it. If I wear it up for the whole run, my face gets wet/cold  I only have to use my inhaler occasionally though, so your asthma could be much more severe.

I loooove the Discworld series! Favourite is the Nightwatch, though 5th Elephant is a close second. You're going to have a great time!

The Violinist's Thumb - Sam Keane A book about DNA. I'm sure it's just a phase, but I can't stomach fiction right now

Throwing my hat into the ring for Muppets Christmas Carol and Scrooged! Watched National Lampoon's Christmas for the 1st time a couple days ago...couldn't get into it. Too many cringe worthy moments, yeesh.

I taught in South Korea, and my students called me 'Pizza Teacher' and would run up to me and slap my stomach, yell hamburger, stuff like that. Once I went into a class to find all the students sitting at their desks, eating ice creams. I joked: "Hey, where's MY ice cream?!" and this little 8 year old looked me dead in the…

 What a terrible thing to happen to you! I'm so sorry! I would have cried AND turned right around and went home, so good on you for continuing your walk (and your loss!)

Wednesday morning, for the same reasons - far enough from the weekend that I maybe reversed some poor decisions, but still enough time to finish the week on a high note.

Get some Body Glide (or something similar. It doesn't have to be that brand. Monistat has an anti-chaffing gel that does the same thing and is like 6 bucks a tube. Basically anything with dimethicone in it) and rub that on your nipples. It will help prevent chaffing. Also, get a running shirt; cotton sucks up too much…
