The cheese wraps are very thin, yes. I only put deli meat inside them and roll them up, then dip them in whatever sauce or dip I like. Its a great option for those who need to be gluten free or avoid extra carbs because of diabetes.

I was constantly sick with migraines, and always breaking out in rashes. Finally got tested. Found out I'm allergic to wheat flour, garlic, black pepper, and a few other random things I never ate anyway. When I make the effort to avoid those foods in my diet, I am tons better. No migraines, skin cleared up, I have more…

Its nice to know there are others out there who understand what I have dealt with, and am still dealing with. I've had inpatient hospitalization 3 times now as for suicidal ideation. Honestly, its because of my children that I sought the help I needed when I felt like giving up on life. I self harm by not eating. And then…

I got a Semi Colon on my left wrist. When someone is writing a sentence and decide the sentence is over, they put a period to mark the end. But lets say the writer decided to continue their sentence, they turn that period into a semi colon and continue writing. For people with suicidal ideation, this semi colon is symbolic…

Cut up veggies ahead of time for easy to grab snacks. Keep cut carrots and celery fresher by storing in water. Radishes, peppers, cherry tomatoes, raw brocolli all make great snacks with a healthy dip like hummus. Don't recommend cutting cucumbers ahead of time. Cut cheese into small pieces and separate into snack size…

I love steamed broccoli and cauliflower with some seasoned salt. I take zucchini and slice it thin, coat lightly with olive oil and season with Tastefully Simple Garlic and Onion seasoning, and some parmesan cheese. Bake it in the oven for 20 minutes at 350° single layer on a baking sheet. I also do asparagus the same way…

We started using this pizza cauliflower crust to avoid extra carbs for my diabetic family members. It tastes pretty good, but I recommend baking it on a pizza pan or cookie sheet to keep it from getting cooked to crunchy. I believe we bought it at Walmart, or our local grocery store.

Y'all thats way to much math!

For my family, its helpful. We have two diabetics and one who recently had bariatric surgery. So cutting bread out is necessary.

Welcome! Its great that you're doing the walking. I would also suggest going on Youtube and searching for wheelchair exercise videos. My mom is very immobile and believed she couldn't exercise because of her hips and knees. But hey, if people in wheelchairs can sit there and exercise using their upper body, then anyone can!

Great job!

Lets time travel here and Youtube Richard Simmon's Sweatin to the Oldies! Great music, lots of fun, designed for all sizes so its very low impact, and gets you moving and doing some easy cardio. Just concentrate on losing the weight for now. Once you drop about 50 pounds, the higher impact exercises will become much easier.

Yes, my ex husband while we were still married. He hated that I was getting healthy, because he secretly had the fear that I would leave him once I was finally pretty. He started accusing me of having affairs, and claiming that the only reason I was losing weight was to attract other men. Well, it took 3 years after the…

Thats awesome that you are motivating yourself. Your kids will learn healthy lifestyle habits by your examples, so way to go! You can friend request me, but I don't often get on here because it drains my phone battery to quickly.

You can dice it up and add to your salad. My mom likes to mash it up with some onions and peppers, and I think she adds a little mayo or salad dressing. Add it to your sandwiches. I've had a BLT with thin sliced avocado before that was delicious!

I make my mom an omelette with veggies. I do a quick stir fry of spinach, green peppers, and onions first and set aside. Then I do the omelette and add the veggies in with the cheese. I also add ham and crumbled bacon to add extra protein and make it more filling.

My sister recently had Bariatric surgery, and her dietitian said to find a whey protein isolate. She stressed making sure that it was an Isolate, but I forget why. We buy Quest protein powder and make smoothies to up her daily protein goals.

No, the broken ankle came from going outside on my way to a baby shower (I live in Michigan and it was March.) The rotator cuff tear came from an accident at my job, lifting 50 pound bumpers and carrying them around.
